I also loved Aerosmith, great band, what a time we lived in, the music was insane, however I have to say that this young artist is also incredibly talented, I believe she honoured Aerosmith while adding just enough of herself to totally own it. Thank you for your reaction, I really enjoyed it. 😊👏
I recently ran into Aerosmith's song "Love In An Elevator". I had never heard it before for some reason. I fell in love with the song. It has fantastic melody, lyrics, giant chorus, even bigger hooks to reel you back in a number of times. Their music video is actually really fun. If you haven't heard it, here is a link: ua-cam.com/video/h3Yrhv33Zb8/v-deo.html
How many female singers would even attempt matching Tylers very energetic and passionately emotional song. I could find only a hand full that tried. Of those, only two are in the running. Firstly, Alyona Yarushina did a very impressive job and one worth mentioning. Alyona is musically very talented and in her own way definitely blew it out of the park. Huge Kudos to Alyona! She deserves it. Then there is Lucy. I can't say it was better than Tylers, but I think it was as good as his. Lucy added a feminine quality to the song that gave it a distinctly different feeling...softer but very powerful filled with passion and emotion. So I'll score Lucy and Tyler as a no contest because of the gender difference and Alyona as a very worthy very close runner up.
Lucy has a clear, pure and warm voice with amazing diction no matter what she is singing. Glad you are continuing to react to Lucy as I think Lucy is probably the best singer out there right now and will get better and better as time goes by. Thanks again!😶
*_Lucy is filling some really big shoes here..._* When Lucy first performed this song, I gave her the 'back story' about it. Steven Tyler has a daughter named Liv Tyler. She was in the movie Armageddon with Bruce Willis. This song was one of the main theme songs. In Aerosmiths own music video, they have scenes from the movie. It is also about the love between Father and Daughter. Another powerful performance from our young lady from Great Britain !!! When I first heard this, I wasn't sure if I liked her interpretation. Really hard to beat Steven Tyler and Aerosmith. This is a Rock Classic sung by a Rock God. After I set it aside and then listened again several weeks later, I can honestly say I LOVE her interpretation. Lucy puts so much emotion into her performance that it is impossible not to love. There are many Classic Rock songs that are within her singing range and style. Steven Tyler's 'Dream On' has a really high note (the dream scream) at the end that 95 percent of singers can't hit. Lucy would nail it perfectly. There are many famous groups from Great Britain over the years; from the Beatles (Liverpool) to Def Leppard (Sheffield), and dozens of others. Wigan where Lucy is from is right between Liverpool and Sheffield. It must be something in the drinking water that favors the Brits to become famous musicians. It sure has favored our favorite young lady from Wigan. *_I really hope Lucy decides to perform 'Dream On' by Aerosmith... she will nail it._*
Thank you for reacting to this Lucy is truly fantastic she can sing anything and always makes it her own Please try her cover of "The greatest love of all" its amazing her voice has matured even more in this song 🤩🤩
Thank you cnotesonly for suggesting this. Both versions are very nice. The original was in my era of music. What i grew up with and matured to is the best ever. The same opinion everyone has of their generation. i see a resurgance of new young talent redoing and in a lot of cases improving this era. it keeps this old heart beating for more. I have to vote for the future. It's Lucy for me. Such a tasteful cover, homage to Steven, but doing it ala Lucy. Thanks Jeff another hit in my book.🤠
@@THSeaNotes I'm ok. I have noticed your new handle. I wasn't sure it was you ? I was going to reply but I got sidetracked and forgot where I was seeing you. I and the bride have what we call oldtimers desease. We have taken to wearing a pen and paper to note reminders. Just this evening she asked if I wanted ice cream. I said sure, just jot it down. She said it's not needed. A while later she came in with toast. I said see you should have written it down. Look you forgot the jelly..Ha ha I was pushing your leg. We have to laugh, a little is true. So how have you been sir? The last week or so I have been catching up on a computer game i played for years. Angry Birds 2. It is simple to play, big graffics that I can see, and I do well at it. It was mostly broken for about a year. I got back to where I was. They know there's a new bird in town. I do have some suggestions out there. time will tell. Thanks friend🤠
@@jeffkerr4861 I saw a boat named SeaNotes so I assumed the name as my handle. I am fine. Thanks for asking. @@THSeaNotes Ok, I'll try to answer your questions. It was in last months issue. I think in Depends or It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Thank you Sir! Armageddon is the movie and yes, Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck are in the movie. 1998 was a good year. I can actually picture and hear Lucy singing this song in the movie. I can’t disrespect Aerosmith. They are legends. If Steven Tyler sang this song in 1978, he would have been capable, vocally, of clearly hitting all the high notes at the end of the song. Lucy’s voice is meant to sing songs like this. Because of all that, I feel that Lucy did a better job.👍❤️
Yes, Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck was in it in the movie, name of this movie is Armagoddon. I Love Aerosmith song's too. She have beautiful tone quality voice, epic talented young singer, amazing voice. Thank you Another cover lover for the comparision's and comment's on these two. Lucy took it for another levels of this song's.
So nostalgic. But you love his croaky voice because it’s similar to your own. Haha 😄 - sorry. Probably the ladies love that and prefer Aerosmith. 😉 I too love the original and like Aerosmith and I would never like it to be replaced. But with different age groups there’s enough room for both versions. The Aerosmith singer has clarity and character but to me sounds to struggle with the power parts in this song. I’ve only just noticed that now while intensely listening here comparing. Obviously very different with a woman’s voice, but as always Lucy Thomas is crystal clear and clean, and has everything everywhere, and can then unleash the power effortlessly. I’m a bit unsure about Lucy putting a touch of American accent on it. I’d like to call it a draw because I do like Aerosmith, but if not then sorry Aerosmith.
Thank you for your reaction. I am both an Aerosmith and Lucy. Please don’t stop with reacting to Lucy. What’s not to love about Lucy.
What can I say, Lucy is just incredible. Every song she sings. Love Aerosmith too. Lucy took it to another level!
Aerosmith is a great band, one of my favorites but Lucy gives me goosebumps every time I listen to her. For me there is no comparison...Lucy wins!

Oh give it a rest will ya she's not even close, delusion at its finest.
Two fantastic versions of this amazing song. I'm a fan of Lucy, but the performance of Aerosmith is incredible.....they and Lucy, two giants !!!

Great movie with really good moral story. Father / Daughter Love can't be broken. Hero's to the rescue. When all else fails, nuke it.

Please do comparison, There You'll Be, Lucy Thomas/ Faith Hill.
Check Morissette’s Dream On by Aerosmith, it’s a medley of 3 songs
The song is a great one. Both versions were very nice but I personally like Aerosmith more. Maybe because I’m a fan. Thanks for the reaction
I can respect that opinion but Lucy is prettier.😎
