Ben and Tice worked so hard for Reform before Nigel stepped in, making Tice deputy. I never really liked or trusted Tice and even less so after referring to the majority who voted for Reform as 'that lot,' because they were also supporters of Tommy. I doubt Ben Habib would have referred to patriots in the same manner.

We should ONLY have people like Rupert in parliament. People who have lived in the real world. I cannot believe that no-one on the front bench has run a business. Entry to Parliament should require the nominee to have at least five years experience of the private sector.

I agree, it is essentially pointless, which is disastrous in a supposed democracy. The PM is allowed to dodge questions, respond to a question that hasn't been asked or fudge his answers. These are ploys politicians frequently use, and it is the responsibility of the Speaker to direct the PM to give a full and clear answers. This could be done more effectively by a Speaker who doesn't represent any political party, because regardless of the role he or she is intended to fulfill, their own bias, conscious or unconscious, is going to be present.

Rupert would be smart to acknowledge, most boomers who are now pensioners have worked and lived hand to mouth all their lives and are not residents of the leafy Surrey suburbs. Many of us don't own our homes and can't access social housing due to shortage of stock and excess needy.
