It's not surprising that you have a resemblance to Iranians; many Iranians also resemble Pakistanis. After all, we are in the same region and have similar genes. Whwn you visit Iran you will find that Iranians and Pakistanis share many linguistic and cultural similarities. You will also notice many differences but I think we need to take them easy and to remember that human verities contribute to their progress. You are enough good in my opinion, and there is no need for changing anything; simply be yourself: happy, caring, and respectful. Certainly, it is a good idea to bring some small gifts for your in laws. I understand how difficult it is to find something from the UK. Almost everything comes from China, and those from the United Kingdom or Europe are expensive. Then it might be a good idea to categorize your in-laws based on your budget and their closeness. For some, taking chocolate or cookies (probably in a fancy package) is sufficient, but for others, such as your husband's parents, additional gifts are good. It can be beneficial to bring small dolls or toys for children. If you can find small Pakistani handicrafts, that's fantastic. These are just simple suggestions; giving gifts is always appreciated (it is part of Iranian culture, at least among those around me), and I am sure you have better ideas:). As your husband is aware of the situation in Iran, perhaps these are unnecessary information. It is not easy to exchange British pounds in Iran; if you need to carry money, seek his advice. Another point which is difficult to explain, but I believe you should know is that currently there is not very clear policy regarding ladies clothing in public. Then, as a visitor, it is safer to cover your head and wear decent cloths, as normally majority of ladies do in Pakistan. I am not sure where you will stay in Iran, I'm going to Tehran and Karaj after Eid Fitr (meanwhile, I'll be in Pakistan for two weeks starting April 21st and returning to Iran on May 5th).
