The cymbals would for sure have at the very least a few flea bites which will eventually turn into cracks. I'm like Nigel from Spinal Tap, don't even point at my Drums. Some people are just very selfish near musical instruments. I think it's absolutely foolish when people get so into it that they fall into something, though it sounds like you were drunk and being very stereotypical. I love playing and when people get really amped up and rock out, that's awesome, but it's not hard at all to have respect while doing so. People like you are the reason I bring back up kits to perform and don't get to show off my Pig Lites when ever I go play

But I was in a band for a while with a guitar player who had the worst luck I've ever seen. He was constantly tripping and falling into the drums or off the stage. Somehow he managed to hit himself in the face with his own guitar and broke his nose. Blood everywhere. 😂 We used flash powder back in those days and, twice, he was standing right over it and had it blow up in his face. He looked like some in an old cartoon that smoked an exploding cigar. We all knew the cues for the flash powder, I guess he just got into playing and wasn't paying attention. I have probably a dozen stories of stuff like that happening to him.

In high school I was subbing in on bass for a cover band playing alternative/grunge during our after school talent show. During the second song, "Lithium" by Nirvana, one of the guitarists calmly puts his guitar down and stage dives. No one catches him, and he slams into the gym floor head first so hard that I hear the impact over the guitars and drums. He lays there for about thirty seconds, staggers to his feet, and wanders out of the school. A couple of weeks later he told me he was found by a cop sleeping in a ditch about a quarter of a mile from the school, his bicycle next to him. The cop called an ambulance, and the poor kid was diagnosed with a grade three concussion. Cobain had died earlier that month, and the concussed kid had done the dive after becoming emotional when performing the song.

Huey climbed on top of a speaker (somewhere between 4 and 6 feet tall) and jumped off to end a song and basically face planted as cowboy boots aren't really great for that... I had a trumpet solo in High School during the Winter Jam. As I stood up I hit my music stand so hard with my bell that it flew off the stage, sheet music flying and the saxophone section terrified.
I still wake up laughing about it

Never stand too close to your guitarist cause he might be about to put his bassist in the hospital. Playing a gig i move close to our lead unbeknownst to me he was gogo tragic copter. Kocked me out cold.

DEFINITE MUST SEE: Kasim Sultan playing bass and singing with Todd Rundgren on Couldn't I Just Tell You, live. Kasim trips on a cable as they both do the Can Can, and falls on his can; they are both laughing, he gets back up and finishes the song. Hardly missed a beat!!! A great moment!

One time at our biggest gig, at the beginning of our first song there was a dramatic jump I was gonna do before the main riff kicked in. When I landed I accidentally unplugged my guitar and so we restarted the song but WITHOUT the jump and the crowd of like 200 went nuts. We won a certificate lol
