Really sad but touching story. Maurice Stokes was ahead of his time in terms of skill at his position.

Outstanding mixtape with some rare material here! I have a few new Stokes clips, so if you'd like to upgrade this video, I can share them.

Thanks so much for posting this mixtape . The Maurice Stokes story must continue to be told for all current & future b-ballers as a source of inspiration. He was so much ahead of his time. Your choice of music grooves is as always on point.

CrunchyManSopa This was awesome! I have a player suggestion
....The original "Jim Pollard".... A truly forgotten legendary player on the NBA's first Dynasty, Minneapolis Lakers! Finding excess highlights of him only would be precious for Basketball historians like us would be Awesome. Thank you for your beautiful work! Keep on.

Averaged 16/17/5 for his career, led rochester to league-leading defenses, and finished 8th, 3rd, and 3rd in assists in the 3 seasons he played. Imagine him, oscar, and jerry lucas in cincinnati playing against bill russell's celtics in the east. Also, he had a very high percentage of getting a triple double. There were games that rebounds or assists weren't recorded yet he still led the league in triple doubles.

I've been thinking about it the past months, but my mind's been a blank slate as to which player I should even make a mix of nowadays. I welcome any suggestions!

Hey, CrunchySopa. I just wanted to say I've been enjoying your videos for years and I saw that you took a break because you weren't compelled to make any new videos because there weren't any players in mind. I went through your channel just to make sure and I saw that there wasn't a video on Big Al Jefferson. You appreciate old school and Al was one of the last great post players to play in the league. Thought I'd throw in his name for a recommendation down the line if you decide to come back. Thanks for the videos.

Thank you! I'm fine with that recommendation, I liked Al's game a lot too. Now.. I'm not gonna lie & say I will start it any time soon rn lol.. but it'll definitely be in my memory bank as a good choice to eventually do! Thank you for appreciating all these years! I sure don't wanna put out something quick & halfheartedly done if I were to make a mix this second haha.

Have you thought about making a giannis mix?

    • @Crunchysopa52

I'm very sorry for not seeing this comment & taking this long to respond, but no I haven't considered a Giannis mix. not that I'm against it, I just don't really make mixes of current players & their seasons anymore. most ppl would only ask me to go back to doing former + obscure players when I did.
