FYI 316 is the type of stainless steel. 316 is one of the most curosive resistant types.

Thank you for mentioning that. As we learned more about sailing, metallurgy and mechanics, we realized the error in my assumption. We had a good laugh, later.😁

A very helpful and informative video, THANK YOU... I'm retired, very new to sailing and thinking about getting a WB10F to go with an Alberg 30 sailboat. My idea is to cut the dinghy into two slightly 'unequal' sections and create a 'nesting dinghy' (hopefully, less expensive than a PT11 kit build/project) as I also want a 'self-steering' windvane (Norvane or Hydrovane) and NO davits... I think, perhaps, the '316' stamp on the washer/other parts means it is made from '316' stainless steel. Or, it could be a 3/16" bolt-sized washer...

Thanks for the response. Let us know how your nesting dingy project turns out.

Thanks for watching. Good job using the exacto knife. I used the dowel they gave as a punch. For a hammer I used a mall. First one side then the next, but this just seasawed. So I moved the dowel inward. The plug then came out easly.
