I personally liked the tandem drafting. It reminds me of the days before the plate, in the 70s and 80s, when 1 or 2 cars could break away from the main pack and race. The part that i dont like is the 2-way radios between drivers, Im glad they got rid of that.
Push drafting was either really awesome or a snoozer. There was never a happy medium. Personally it didn't bother me as much as it did some. The two car tango allowed for the small guys to have a good run, even more than the big pack. Dave Blaney is a great example.
well I posted that last year, but your right this year has been a bit boring at Daytona, all you have to do is lead at the whitle flag and you win the race, happend to three different drivers, so maybe Talladega will be a little bit better, but I do like the other tracks, Phoenix, Vegas, and Bristol had some great close pack racing.
i was at this race, much much more exciting while being there, the 2 car tango just isnt that good on t.v., and it is still faster, the only way to eliminate it is to reduce drag and downforce, but what i have really noticed is that last year, thier top speeds were around 195 mph, this year they were doin about 205 mph, in pack drafting, they just have the perfect package this year.
Because a driver has to decide to try to finish second in a race. Theres bi option of passing your pod mate on the final lap or you both lose momentum. It's a race. No one should be choosing to try to finish second.
Final time Steve Park Michael Waltrip and Dale Jr. raced together.
Oh yeah, they were teammates from DEI racing in the 2000s.
this was steve park's last race
And that was last time when Park, Waltrip and Junior raced at the same time.

Jimmie Johnson's Talladega April Race wins
First win: 2006
Second win: 2011
It seems like no matter what happens Brad Keselowski is always a nice guy. He never gets mad at anyone for anything.

There wasn’t a single fan that cheered him winning the race, that’s all you need to know about how sick of him the fans were at the time
THATS COOL!
1:50:30 Gonna have nightmares tonight about kids eatin’ free.
2:42:58 Point 002 he beat ya by....
This year's package took away a lot of passing - NASCAR is wrong about the tandems.
2:33:05 Photo Finish

Huh - by modern rules standards Johnson was definitely over the yellow line and shouldn't have gotten the win o.O (Right in the tri-oval point I mean)
I'm saying no to more wrecks.
For the people who hate the tandem...how can you argue with a finish like that?!

Green Flag At 13:15 For Anyone Who's Wondering
boywer finished ahead of gordon, so therefore if johnson had lost, boywer would have won
Blaney to win yes. More wrecks, No. So I'm not giving you a thumbs up.
Dont curse. Its rude.
