Website: cyclingmotivation.wixsite.com/... Credits to Kondrad Manning for the beautifull clips at the beginning! Follow me on twitter for more vids, pics and more!!! / hpcyclingfan
this is the best cyclocross video ever. I remember waking up for early morning cross races in the freezing cold and I used to watch this on the way there. motivation
Thanks ! Having built a CX cross bike myself,( Guerciotti, of course ), I will use it for Audax randonneuring, but it was nice to see so damn timings and skills in the video.I like the song, I definetely think it suits the video.CX should be fun...like pigs in the mud, lol.Too bad I am not fast and skillfull, otherwise, I would ride CX too, if it was available in Eastern Europe.
Impressive video for us - who love this sport - but also for those who look for a brave and intense sport: enjoy it. Thanks for sharing (music is OK ;-).
Let's take it to the next level!: bootcamp plus mudrun plus cyclocross! We shall call it: Mudathalon! (Race winners must provide parents' birth certificates to prove in-breeding.)
Perhaps you could have included some woman? Sven Nys, van der haar and van der pouman (cant spell ahaha) are amazing riders but so is Helen wyman and Marianne vos is just a legend!
+Konrad Manning i feel your pain too- but if we had to get permission for every clip etc, we wouldn't have videos like this, it sucks sometimes, but its very difficult to find the original owner of footage most of the time, especially if its been taken for vimeo or youtube
Thanks HPC. Marcus - our film was on UA-cam with all credit information there. We filmed and edited it, spent money on fuel getting there and spent our day out in the cold. We published the credits so that you could see that we made it. Original owner is very obvious in this case.
Konrad Manning fair enough bud, i used to have to film for my college, and i know if id gone out specifically to film and edited, it would really really annoy me, my point was based around most people are just recording their friend race or catching a moment, with no or little effort. sorry bud, thats fair enough and i was wrong! (although i think this guy only really makes vids to watch to motivate himself, not that it makes much difference, if i was making a vid for myself, i wouldn't bother either, (although i would if it was going online :P ))
+marcus allison are you talking about the guy in the yellow who gives up or about the green one in the part after? i' not sure.. but the guy in yellow (tom meeusen) broke his chain and the guy in the green (sven nys) was just going not fast enough to keep Pauwels behind, i think he had forgot to put his chain on the big ring..
HPC thank you so much!! thats really interesting and so good to know- this is why i love your videos!! thanks again :) (i meant tom meeusen, that is the ONLY explanation as to why he would sit up right then!! a horrific time to break a chain :( )
i wouldn't have called sven nys' giving up- :) thats far to close for me to be all high and mighty and comment like that! we all know the pain of being that tiny bit too slow on the line.... :P
ahhh what a killer!! I'm only just starting to really get into cyclocross, so its good to know these things! :) can i just take this opportunity to thank you for the videos- me and several of my cycling friends love your channel! :)
irlrp yeeah it's wrong what he did there.. but i don't think he had the intention to hurt Denuwelaere.. just something that can happen if you wanna win a race that much.
HPC irlrp It wasn't that wrong... Stybar should have stayed on his line but ( and correct me if i'm wrong ) I think in cyclocross you may go off your line a bit. Stybar wanted to close the gap for Jan, but didn't notice Jan was already that close on his leftside and gave him a little nudge. But then Stybar tried to rewin his balance but he could only do that by leaning on Jan again. Styby was very disappointed after the race because of what he did. PS: Klaas Vantornout almost won that race, Jan tumbled over the finish line JUST in time. ( race was in Essen I think ).
DYD35 3 yeah i don't think he had the intention to do that.. but it happened and it was only right to give Denuwelaere the victory. It was in Essen but it was Rob Peeters who almost won and not Vantornout ;)
Several reasons. First Cyclocross is much older than MTB. It use to be a winter training for road racers that ended up as a real sport decades ago. Competitions are hold during fall/winter only so road racers can also participate. Cyclocross is less technical than MTB and is a shorter race. MTB became shorter recently but is far more technical than it used to be and suspension bikes are even more mandatory. They don't need the same type of training and skills A cross bike would be better on this type of course because descentes are pretty short and not rocky and the ground is mainly flat, even with tarmac segments. Cyclocross is a hit in just a few country at top level (Belgium, Nederlands and Checz Rep) but it is gaining a new popularity, especially in the US and with the soar of gravel road events. And last one : why not !! it is really funny and more straight forward than full suspended bikes
awesome video, inspiring. check out what we are doing in Florida with CX on our channel. CX National Champion Ryan Woodall and Josh Thornton at WAR #1 at Stanley Park.
So the point of Cyclocross is to Take a road bike to the forest ? Can i join the race with my Slope Style ? Just saying those bunny hop "obstacles" are a joke :))
It is a winter sport : the rain, the mud, the sand, the snow. These guys are racing for 1 hour on a closed circuit in front of the spectators. It is so explosive. HPC : nice compilation !
If you're gonna say that, u might as well say u dont understand the concept of bicycles itself. Its like we couldnt decide whether to run or to race motorbikes.
I raced in Europe for 3 years against Belgians, Dutch, Germans, and others. Your observation is a valid one, despite the previous put-downs. Cyclocross is indeed a bicycle race made as stupid as possible; yet people still do it. Now the last four wannabes will consider that statement a triumph, but we all know the emperor has no clothes. We humans love to twist things: we love rats that are birds (bats) and birds that can swim better than they can fly (Galapaos Cormorants and Puffins). But we're never more twisted than when we claim a road bike is a better mountainbike, than a mountainbike. But I've been wrong before. Rap music is still popular and Trump is our President now. Hang on.
Falsify the content? A picture of cyclocross for a video about cyclocross, or what did you expect? Btw I tought you only watched 1:56? So who says it's not in the video? :) I just don't get people who write comments like this...
MrFamily1Man it's because that's the rule, you can also ask yourself why they don't use racecars when you're watching a road race.. but that's just the sport. Also on most of the tracks it's faster with a cyclocross bike instead of an mtb.. btw, it's not a road bike with disks brakes. it's a cyclocross bike, it may look like it's a roadbike, but it's not.
MrFamily1Man Agreed with HPC comments. Its like rally cross, and other cross over sports, where disciplines can be shared, and if you see the two bikes alongside each other, you will see cyclocross bikes look quite a bit different to road bikes. Maybe go out and try it if you are a cyclist. and MTB is indeed big in Europe, so its not that.
MrFamily1Man MTB's are huge in Europe but cyclo cross was the forerunner and is still very popular. I used to go to watch a lot of cyclos cross events in the UK as a lad and when we moved to OZ it was unheard of. It is very much a euro centric cycling culture.
MrFamily1Man A mountain bike will weight significantly more, which will make dismounting and trucking it up a 50% grade awful. The slight handling and grip benefits wouldn't be worth it.
this is the best cyclocross video ever. I remember waking up for early morning cross races in the freezing cold and I used to watch this on the way there. motivation
Me too 😂 I’m reminiscing rn
More like best armpit exposing moments.
I could watch this all season and more
Awesome video and motivating song. Thanks guys for the upload.
This video always gives me chills
best cross motivational vid yet
thanks! :)
where the hell's the part where the guy goes airborne in the thumbnail??
It's in the thumbnail?!? You didn't expect it to actually be on the clip did you?
Today no Riders no speed no sprints and no fight just 2 riders and the rest no action & reaction... 2000 - 2008 Best of CX!!!
Thanks ! just getting started. love triathlons.so this looks like a blast!
it really is! and good luck with your triathlons!
Let's take it to the next level!: bootcamp plus mudrun plus cyclocross!
We shall call it: Mudathalon! (Race winners must provide parents' birth certificates to prove in-breeding.)
love the music video
Title should be best cyclocross video!! 👍👍
wow this song makes the video
Clarify.
good video
Maybe if I become belgian I might start winning my races
haha solid plan!
I'm belgian and i can't win (my best is second)
great clip if you mute the music and play iron maiden - number of the beast
+Leif Keithley i actually did exactly what you said
I'm not into Iron Maiden, but I tried that, and it does work better, even to my ears.
I'd try anything from the number of the beast
Nice!
There should be a second part of this vid.
Perhaps you could have included some woman? Sven Nys, van der haar and van der pouman (cant spell ahaha) are amazing riders but so is Helen wyman and Marianne vos is just a legend!
At 2:20,that looked painful!😨
Belgian FTW
Ma vincono sempre i tedeschi in sto sport? Video fighissimooo
bellissimo ,
Im crying :))
What is the song called
We like the very beginning because that's our film - no credits given to those you've taken the footage from ?? : /
i'm sorry i used your clips, i will put you in the description if that's allright for you?
+Konrad Manning i feel your pain too- but if we had to get permission for every clip etc, we wouldn't have videos like this, it sucks sometimes, but its very difficult to find the original owner of footage most of the time, especially if its been taken for vimeo or youtube

I want a cyclocross. If it can handle that than it should do fine on dirt roads during commute.
mountain biking!
👍
Included this in our 2014-15 must watch cyclocross playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLCXch3K6t_prxMCW8Z7cg2fxuoYVU8B39.html
What is the name of this song, I don't agree that some people call it bad...
Andy Grammer - Back Home . I don't get the hate for this song either
Hmm this was on the same release as the rick roll thing? Click bait fever?
how about some metal or something with electric guitars???
Song. Andy Grammer - Back Home. ;)
It puzzles me why these guys don’t use mtb’s
Cyclocross workout
You steal this song from a commercial?
Does anyone know the race at 2:47?
Singapore GP
Wat is that song
Andy Grammer - Back Home
the guy at 2:50- why did he sit up and give up? he was second, and had the momentum and speed, surely he could have managed another 10m?
+marcus allison are you talking about the guy in the yellow who gives up or about the green one in the part after? i' not sure.. but the guy in yellow (tom meeusen) broke his chain and the guy in the green (sven nys) was just going not fast enough to keep Pauwels behind, i think he had forgot to put his chain on the big ring..

yeah, if he didn't had that problem with his chain he probably would have won the race, most of the time he is the fastest sprinter... :)
ahhh what a killer!! I'm only just starting to really get into cyclocross, so its good to know these things! :)
can i just take this opportunity to thank you for the videos- me and several of my cycling friends love your channel! :)
What’s the song
Back home - Andy grammer
Whats the name of the song??
Andy Grammer - Back Home
It's "YadaTadaDaDAdada--you really have shite taste in music mate".
01:35, what happened there? it looked like he was pushed into the barrier
yes, it's Stybar that pushed Denuwelaere into the barriers, They gave Denuwelaere the victory in the end :)
HPC Glad to learn that they did this... What a fucking anti-sport gesture Stybar did there... That deserve an life time ban...
irlrp yeeah it's wrong what he did there.. but i don't think he had the intention to hurt Denuwelaere.. just something that can happen if you wanna win a race that much.

Greenwood, Lee. 'Proud to be a Cyclocrosser."

I mean 2:15
doing cross-country on those narrow road wheels and rigid road forks is pervertion.
somehow that music doesn't fit but that's just me.
That's some shite music right there.
About to say the same.
Why this instead of mtb??
Several reasons.

you can make your own MTB version of this ! nothing stop you
enjoyed the video, music was atrocious those

on most of these tracks those bikes are way faster than your slope style.
Kippevel
I don't really understand cx. It's like people couldn't decide whether they wanted to be a mountain biker or a roadbiker
that's just the sport.. its slower than a racebike, but definitely faster than a mountainbike

Shot with a potato.
Guys do you know you use wrong bike type
No matter what........"WE" all still deserve hell. Thank you Jesus.
Can't handle the music....ugh
too much effect i cant see a shit
stupid music spoil this video
Gay.
5 years on UA-cam. This video is still just as terrible. I'm never getting the 1:56 that I watched back in my life.
And you also don't get the time back you wasted typing this comment.. Just to be mean. I think there are better things to do haha.
We all value different things. Accurate content, for instance. Dont use clickbait-images that falsify the content in the video.

One of the most stupid competitions in the World!
Антон Антонов i disagree. Cyclocross is a great sport!
That's a lot of white people.
