From Pandas to Tigers: A Day in the life of Zoo Negara Malaysia

Welcome to our adventure at Zoo Negara in Malaysia! We were absolutely blown away by how well-organized the zoo was and how calm and happy most of the animals seemed.
To get started, you can buy tickets either online or at the counter, with different prices depending on your nationality or residency status. Once you enter the zoo, you'll be asked to take photos and directed towards the photo booth to buy any souvenirs.
We highly recommend taking the tram service, which requires a separate ticket, to travel from the entrance to the Panda Walkway, then to the aquarium entrance and back to the main entrance. Along the way, we saw an incredible range of animals, including rhinoceroses, giraffes, emus, zebras, porcupines, camels, pandas, tigers, lions, deer, cheetahs, pumas, elephants, hippopotamuses, alligators, otters, seals, penguins, and so much more.
You definitely need a whole day to fully explore everything the zoo has to offer, and don't forget to bring an umbrella or a cap to protect yourself from the intense sun. There are plenty of food stalls to grab a bite, and the whole zoo is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly.
And if you're looking for interactive experiences, be sure to consult with the knowledgeable zookeepers. Overall, we had an amazing time at Zoo Negara and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malaysia!
