I came straight up out the hood and made my escape just as soon as I could. All my other homies didn't look any further than their block or the blocks of their friends, or the hood and got trapped and are still trapped to this day. I never accepted the hood and that life as my fate. I was more than that and got the fuck on up out of there. There was never any allure or appeal to me for fast money, random sex, pregnancy, drugs, low wage jobs and living check to check to check for the majority or entirety of my life. If that's the only life you know and you were never any smarter to know how to escape to a better life, then, if you don't know any better, then I guess there is nothing wrong with that life. My 1st paycheck went into a bank account I had to setup all on my own at 16 with the help of my Grandmother. We had to lie to my Mom about me opening an account because, she would have tried to use me as a piggy bank. All my money went into getting out of the hood and getting into a trade school. I didn't get no girl pregnant, I wasn't trying to get high, I wasn't trying to fight people, I wasn't running around trying to hustle, hell naw. I'm now 31, my home is paid for completly and after working for others for 10+ years, I finally have my own work truck and business. I work when I want to work and can afford trips out of the country. I was spent 5 weeks in Columbia, Trinidad, Cuba summer of 22. This summer, I get to spend 4 weeks in France, Germany, Italy, The UK, etc. Yall kids watching these videos, this is not a life you ever want to live. There is nothing rewarding about it. You don't need college, you just need a trade. Electrician, Plumber, or any number of very high paying jobs in the medical field. It's not hard to get your RN, or a surgical tech, x-ray tech, etc etc. Those jobs pay $90,000 - $120,000+ dollars. You don't need to get pregnant. Ladies, men will nut in you just to trap you, and or, out of ignorance. I grew up in the Bronx. I sometimes go back to my block and it's sad and depressing to see so many young people that will mostly likely never escape that life. Makes me want to cry if I think about it too much.
I like this vid in particular, she’s more embracing to her neighbourhood rather than flaunting about shit going down with gangbangers like in the other vids. Just more authentic and relatable than others lol.
I noticed that about his videos from other places. They keep trying to convince you it's bad whereas in the NY videos you can tell by the vibe that it's hood.
This is the most Black American woman I've ever seen in my life and I love it. I don't even know if her folks are from here but if not, she's very clearly embraced the culture.
Exactly!!! Everyone here talks about how she looks don’t get me wrong she’s obviously gorgeous but her personality and charisma is what really should amaze us. God bless her she really deserves the best
Dam, she a honey with a sweet personality...she even held the door open every time for the camera man... she is a lady and naturally kind... you can tell between how she loves her Fam and how she carries herself that she would be good woman to be down with... she has direction and goals.. prayers to the baby
@@j-rich you're so quick to come with the negativity that your reading comprehension is off. He said that she is naturally "kind," which as nothing to do with looks. And so what if those things you mentioned are not real, she's not hurting anyone and seems like a nice person.
I'm from Brooklyn east NY and the Bronx. And watching this video is exactly why when my wife became pregnant I bought my family a home in the suburbs of Hudson Valley New York.
I am from Chicago. Its a lot different than NY, but her recollection of her childhood in the hood reminds me of my own. I totally felt her emotions and love for her hood.
I know she's into music but if she also wanted to do some hosting gigs for TV especially in the hip hop industry, I could see it. She's very engaging and speaks really clear.
Love the energy and confidence of New York. I like to visit but I’m good with North Carolina and the life my parents gave me. God Bless everyone who has to make the most of life with what they’re given. This was very refreshing but it was sad thinking of how kids have to literally raise themselves.
I love this woman! She is an excellent story teller and hostess. Love how she is real with things too and not afraid to tell bit of personal info. I hope we see her more. Plus she is gorgeous. As a white woman from the suburbs, more interested in this vlog versus makeup tutorials etc.
This vid just made me realize how different every part of the Bronx is. Highbridge, Soundview, castle Hill, Fordham, Baychester, mott haven, etc. The list is endless and they all got different vibes.
This young lady did a phenomenal job with representing and showing her hood; however there is more to the Bronx than just her neighborhood. The highway she showed is actually the Cross Bronx, which connects to the Deegan. Best patties, not on her side of town, but again, that's her opinion. It would have been nice if she did a Bronx tour with meeting up with other people from different parts of the Bronx, so that people who are not familiar with the borough can see the diversity that the Bronx offer. We have a large Caribbean community (west indian) in the North aka Uptown. 2/5 train. Swizz Beatz was from. Then there is Castle Hill/ParkChester that is diverse. 6 line Fordham/the Hub which is known for shopping and other unmentionable Arthur Ave Pelham Bay Park City Island So many to choose......... Would love to see more of her
I feel like those of us who grew up in the Bronx grew up kind of Sheltered in our own respective neighborhoods. I don’t feel like many of the different communities throughout the Bronx really interactúen with each other like that
I am in LOVE with the way she talks about going for the free meals, her mom having 7 kids and how it would take so much to feed them, all on her own... I have 5 kids, and they get free meals at school, or on a bus sometimes that comes to our neighborhood. Shoot- I still remember my free meals too! It makes one feel better, to know we're not alone, that we have so many commonalities- despite where we come from, and that we can be proud! That we can remember some of the harder places that we've come from, and still connect and still be proud. That was cool. :-)
I’m not sure if you should be proud about giving your kids meals from food assistance, but I am happy that you and the girl in the video have a positive outlook on it :)
@@djenekamara9581 @Pranav there’s nothing to be proud of for giving your children a difficult life. But, you can be proud of making what you can with the situation you put yourself in. She was an amazing tour guide! The mix of history and personal stories was amazing! She’s popping, she’s born for this
I came straight up out the hood and made my escape just as soon as I could.
She loves where she’s from, such a dope feeling. Every hood is beautiful 👑
I like this vid in particular, she’s more embracing to her neighbourhood rather than flaunting about shit going down with gangbangers like in the other vids. Just more authentic and relatable than others lol.
Facts
Thats what real hood people do nun of that fake industry shit
thats how NYC is.
I noticed that about his videos from other places. They keep trying to convince you it's bad whereas in the NY videos you can tell by the vibe that it's hood.
Same exact comment as me!!!! Glad I wasn’t the only one that thought this. She’s very unique in such an intriguing way.
Not only is she beautiful, but she stands out, her attitude, her vibe and style. She’s a star! 🌟 Hope her dreams come true
This is the most Black American woman I've ever seen in my life and I love it. I don't even know if her folks are from here but if not, she's very clearly embraced the culture.
I feel naturally drawn to women like her. Theyre humble and sweet, always polite, but won’t take shit from anyone. What a dope woman 🥺🖤

I'm loving her whole vibe! I'm from Vegas/Cali. I love the whole NY culture. The diversity, food etc.

As a New Yorker I kinda laughed a little at the idea of a tour of the bronx but I really enjoyed this. I like her energy. I can dig it.
What I love is this isn’t the tourist view it’s the authentic view. I love this 👍😁❤️
I am from Chicago. Its a lot different than NY, but her recollection of her childhood in the hood reminds me of my own. I totally felt her emotions and love for her hood.

yes , she should definitely look into doing hosting for hip hop media/events
I could listen to her stories all day! She makes things that look boring, like those big stairs, into something interesting

Love the energy and confidence of New York. I like to visit but I’m good with North Carolina and the life my parents gave me. God Bless everyone who has to make the most of life with what they’re given. This was very refreshing but it was sad thinking of how kids have to literally raise themselves.

Yes! Def describes her personality
Her energy and grind is palpable. "Young sis you will make it!"
6 line
Fordham/the Hub which is known for shopping and other unmentionable
Arthur Ave
Pelham Bay Park
City Island
So many to choose.........
Would love to see more of her
I feel like those of us who grew up in the Bronx grew up kind of Sheltered in our own respective neighborhoods. I don’t feel like many of the different communities throughout the Bronx really interactúen with each other like that
This is her reality! They r interviewing her. Yes! There are different parts.
Yeah that would’ve been nice to see a part 2 and 3
yes i was watching this feeling all left out an shit cuz im from the north bronx
yes true lol
The happiness you see on her face showing Bronx is the same feeling I have when showing people where im from.
