81 Years of Zoot Suit History!

In this video the Sueño Team supports the Los Angeles Lowrider Alliance and the Office of Kevin De Leon to bring to life a commemoration of the 1943 conflict between Mexican American / minority Zoot Suiters and American Servicemen stationed in Southern California. The event highlights Car Club titans such as The Imperials, Groupe, and the Zoot Suit era fashion!

The Zoot Suit emerged from Black American Harlem Jazz culture beginning in the 1930's. Italians, Filipino's and eventually mexicans on the west coast continued this Black style of fashion. Well of course.
