The car your seeing is a prototype which means this Mustang is subject to changes like the steering wheel logo. I'm also not sure if you realize Shelby American will only be manufacturing 250 Super Snakes.
Regarding the next GT500. Ford announced in Dearborn MI during the introduction of the S650 Mustang that the new S650 GT500 would be introduced in 2025 as a 2026 model.

Haha, I would still want it but I would definitely want it to come with cool racing seats straight from Shelby. I actually interviewed the president of Shelby American and he was humble and cool enough to explain the steering wheel situation. It’s my most recent video if you wanna check it out.

Do we know if they are putting better internals in the motor then the stock 5.0? I honestly agree with what you are saying but I do not think it is worth over $70. I could go buy a 2023 GT500 for 90k so why would anyone want to pay that much more for basically a GT???? It is crazy
I don’t want to say 100% they’re not but 99.9% they’re running stock internals since I know they would’ve been bragging about it. And yeah I think ppl would much rather buy a 2020 gt500 and have over 50k leftover for mods.
You are paying for the Name and serial number. Not worth that amount of money, IMO.
@@fsujmm I agree with you to a certain extent but I do think you are indeed getting more than just that. It’s a collector car but the part that kills it for me is the 5.0 motor which doesn’t come with forged internals. Still love the car
You can tell Vince from Shelby sees all these videos because on the recent Larry Chen video he was talking about how Ford vehicles aren’t real Shelby’s, just licensed cars. Lmao
I loved that video, he went into great detail about the design of the car and everything they did. You can tell he’s a hands on car guy 🔥💪🏼 hopefully he doesn’t feel I was too harsh with my constructive criticism 😅
At least we owners of 03/04 cobras have cobra on our steering wheel. Yeah my shelby gt 500 is n nice, but the terminator rules.

I believe what you said about steering wheel. I believe sport seats are an option on the base car, so Shelby probably has a plan for that. I haven't seen a cost on the car, but 150k seems about right, if not a bit moore. I am pricing a new Saleen with about every option and it is comparable in price. I think the engine is stock motor to keep from having to recertify car for smog legality. It would have delayed production and probably drove cost up even more. I mean 800 plus on the street and 50 state legal is impressive.
I never thought about the smog that’s a good point. The problem is I don’t believe the gt has forged internals like the gt500s are known to have and they didn’t mention anything about changing the internals for the new super snake. I still love the car, let’s hope for a fair price haha

They introduced it as the 2024 Shelby so that’s what I went with haha I’m thinking they’ll be available some time mid or late this year.
Lol. Same 5.0 and same whipple that you can put on the GT. And the only blower you can put on a s650. They should have put the voodoo or something else in it. And for stupid money. They will be GTs with whipples donkey stomping them 150k plus super snake.

I agree with you. If I had the money to buy that car, I would definitely change the pony logo on the steering wheel to the new Snake logo. It baffles my mind why they would leave a pony logo on a Super Snake!

Agree with your sentiments. Amazing car, but the value for the price isn't there IMO. Good, bad, or indifferent FoMoCo own the GT350 and GT500 marques and I don't think they're going let them go to waste. If I was in the market, I'd wait for a new Shelby variant. That Cobra emblem on the car carries a lot of weight to a lot of people. Great content as usual.
I would do the same, cobra and Shelby are made hand in hand with premium performance and it doesn’t work if one is without the other. Thanks brother 🤘🏼
Me personally, I would spend the money on a 6 speed trans GT with a whipple supercharger and a Tremec transmission with brenbo brakes and suspension upgrades. I know it is not a Shelby, but it would be close and save about 100k

@@SOLODRIVEN It cannot be tuned. It might take a couple of years for that to happen.. 2024 and up cars have locked ECUs.
Pretty sure these tuner will figure that out quickly they always have. Plus you can always go standalone
