The new sickle is literally Tommy's matchbook from destiny 2
I’m curious how the seeking grenades work! Do they follow the player when idle? Can I sot on a supply pile and spam grenades to have an army of 12+ seekers? How does pinging work? Do the seekers need line of sight to begin their attack? Are they smart enough to target weakpoints? Will all seekers waste themselves on a single grunt enemy if I have multiple? Do they have a lifespan? Does grenade armor work well with them? Scout armor for finding targets with the ping? How fast do they move? Can I ping friendly helldivers for in the case of disloyalty to super earth for a seeker kill? What if I enter a car or mech while they are following? Can they be shot at while flying?
I can go on for a while, but I’m very curious about them lol

Mainly, I want to understand what I can kill in a single hit with Peak Physque, For Jump-pack based shenagains.
i wonder if the Portable Hellbomb backpack is unlimited uses or not.
Cause the fact that you can call one in anywhere as opposed to regular hellbombs being usable at certain objectives seems pretty crazy to use!
I also bet that once you have it on your back, youll be a fragile target waiting to explode if you get shot by any type of weapon from your teammates or the enemy.
I’m imagining people with democracy protects armor just running in with the hell bomb and just walking out like an absolute champ or being blown to smithereens
And then promptly getting thrown into a cliff and dying from impact. I love it!

@@h2o848Not a bad idea, if you survive you'll be healed right up before you hit something (unless it's an instant slam).
Alternatively, some nut case will run the new armor and sidearm with the portable Hellbomb and flexible reinforcement budget.

Now that ballistic shields block melee, we can now form Roman legions, and fight in the name of Lady Liberty
we did it today tested it on level 4 vs bugs, was more bulling then a fight :D. If you work together only the titan is a real problem, the stun effect of the Speer can stun charger true the front leg. just don't face tank the charger :D
The shield breaks pretty fast against melee attacks 😒

Player corpses exploding after death will strongly discourage landing your hellpod on teammates.
For maximum carnage, pair with exploding hellpods to cook to a crisp char

I mean if it explodes the moment you die, then the Hellpod should absorb the blast and your perfectly fine.
A sidearm taking out a stratagem jammer or detector tower is just absolutely insane. No way that survives nerfs more than a month. I definitely expected it to kill fabricators, but this is just a pocket precision strike now
I can see it survive a nerf of ammo cap. Like, reducing it to 2 or 3 shots...
@@amauryleblanc7979Based on the disclaimer text edit eravin made it’s only 2, with 4 if you have siege ready, but I don’t think that matters since supply pack and also ammo crates lying around especially on illuminate missions mitigate it a lot
I think it only comes with 2 shots and has a ridiculously short range.

What if the jammer prevents it from detonating until the jammer is offline

double edge sickle + vitality booster + stim booster + heavy armor + stim pistol medic juicing you up sounds like a fun way to hold the line at defense objectives, you could shoot medium pen for a very long time without reload, we got something like medic + heavy synergy from tf2
Seems like a lot of work just to be on par with the Adjudicator

@@mitchellsheridan5252 It's not about the output, it's about sending a message. Seriously though, while it might not be optimal, still cool that you can do something like this. Since HD1 and 2 both incentivize teamwork through team-loading weapons and vehicles (hopefully more to come in 2), it's interesting to see an "unofficial" team-load-esque strategy like this potentially emerge. Especially if you pair (throuple?) it with a fire and/or gas loadout, they lockdown a point, DESickle pops anything that gets through.
If overheating the gun gets it up to medium penetration, I'll gladly put on my salamander armor to shoot it for years at a time.

You know I just realized that double edged sickle is actually really good on hot planets. You want it to heat up faster to do more damage but it will come with more risk as you burn up faster. Hope we get a double edged laser fannon
@ratchet1122 think about is fire resistance affects it. It will be the ultimate flamethrower, DE Sickle, fire proof armor combo
I can only see using it with a buddy rocking the stim pistol.
Doesn't work like that though? Planet heat doesn't affect buildup it affects cooldown. You can see it when you hold R on energy weapons. The 'magazine' size is the same on any planet.
I guess you could consider it better only in that when you begin to fire again after not firing, you have a longer time until the damage gets to the minimum. Cold planets would be bad though. Less fire rate? No thanks
it does infact work with the fire res armor perk and it's incredible
Double sickle plus flamethrower and that armor would destroy bugs
I wonder if they will add similar gimmicks for electric and gas weapons, fire has generally felt like the strongest resistance (puter broke and haven't personally fought squids yet) and giving it this puts it even further ahead I think.

@@jaywerner8415 The new warbond items are already in the game but inaccessible through normal means, but data miners found the new items' stats and hackers have tested them out.
you can quite literally find leaked gameplay with people using flame res armor and the gun and it works

Not exactly, the grenade pistol will still be better utility wise because you get a lot more range and ammo

@@AzureIV Then now you're pretty much lacking a lot in long-term anti crowd, unless you take sentries and / or crowd clearing support weapons, which then might reduce your capabilities for anti-heavies

I like it. It doesn't replace the grenade pistol's role of killing fabricators, instead it specialize in killing automaton structures.
It fits the very niche desire of wanting to run a Recoiless Rifle while also wanting to run a AMR, MG, or Laser Cannon. And I think that's pretty neat

I don’t see any problem with this set up. If you want to go all out explosive like this you should be able to. You’re still very limited on range with the side arm and will have to be very close to enemies
Im rocking this warbond. I hope the hellbomb has a cooldown instead of uses like the orbital laser. And im rocking the sickle because its new and medium pen to a degree. I wanna see the nuke of a grenade pistol shot at a factory strider doors and a bile titan.
Were gonna need this stuff when the hive lord drops and i know its dropping soon because why would we need this much damage
Imagine having a medic teammate, with medic passive and experimental booster, spamming you with a stim pistol while you use the double-edged sickle. Infinite, rapid-fire medium penetration.
0:57 The warbond armors specifically are taking inspiration from Ceremonial Roman armors, hence the Latin on one of the chestplates

As a 40K nerd, I'm cackling that they basically gave us a Maccabian Janissaries Warbond before any official Games Workshop collab.
So much GW stuff is inspired by the real world, might as well just go to the shared source.
The heavy armor from Urban legends warbond and the hooded helmet in the new one, perfect combo.
Some of you 40K fans are the most annoying people ever, nothing in 40K is actually an original idea and amor that looks like this has existed way longer than the grim derp

I think the Pocket Rocket is a neat idea, but a secondary that can kill jammers/detectors is insane. With the portable hellbomb, you have to call it in first and sacrifice your backpack all the way to the objective. Being able to waltz up and kill everything is not okay
Is everyone just forgetting the size of a Hellbomb explosion compared to this thing that won't have much larger a blast radius than a precision strike or pre-buff 500kg?
@ it takes up a backpack slot, so you can’t use RR, autocannon, spear, etc, and you also need to walk over to what you wanna destroy and escape the explosion. The sidearm can do it from much further away

You know, I had no idea that more death on an operation means less progress. I did notice that on a mission that more people died on there was less progress but I never put two and two together

I feel that the double edged sickle would be a lot more viable if they were different firing options instead of having to build the heat before getting to higher pen and if it had heavy armor pen it would be elite
Those were my exact thoughts, especially the heavy pen. Medium pen 1 isn't all that special, and for doing damage to you, it should give a much better edge. Why take the DES when I can take a MG or LAS98?
I think there was a missed opportunity for having a booster that equipped everyone with the shovel by default, it's both meme-y but kinda helpful for some missions or with loadouts geared around disposable heavies
Ap 8 seems like a tad much. I like it taking out fabicators, but jammers seems a bit much. Especially considering it would completely nulifify the point in using the hellbomb backpack..
It only has 1 spare ammo, and has a very short range. Sure it can take out jammers, but portable hellbomb is still great if the jammer is reinforced and you can't get in close enough.
nullify the hellbomb backpack ? my brother in democracy, people are gonna be using that backpack regardless of what better tools we have at our disposal... its a hellbomb backpack. thats badass.

Honestly it’s just another example of the game being watered down for bad players, jammers and other buildings that require hellbombs were the only fun thing in the game anymore and now you can just one shot them. Congratulations AH you have made the game even more brain dead than it was before

The pocket orbital as a secondary is crazy on the bot front. However on other fronts it's not as much crazy as it sounds. Maybe illuminates when more units come out.
I wouldn't mind it as much if it was a primary. So you trade your primary for the extreme utility of having a pocket ops.

Double edge sickle feels like medium armor pen, I can kill devastators from any shot placement, and scout striders by shooting below the pilot's protective plate. I LOVE IT.
Seeker grenade further enhances my "can't be bothered to aim" loadout.
Democracy Protects Armor + Backpack Hellbomb gonna be a fun combo.

I think a booster that does this would be good: The player who equips the booster’s armour passive is shared with the rest of the team.
That sounds awesome ngl. I don't think AH would ever do it given their thoughts on transmog, but damn that would be great
Man i really hope they rethink the light pen for the double edge sickle at least give med pen then heavy on overheat that would be more worth while.
But with heavy pen it probably wont do significant damage for heavys, just like the primary flamethrower its probably not going to be super effective. So probably a good idea

@ I mean... look at arc thrower vs chargers or hmg vs chargers head on. These support weapons have heavy pen and require so long to kill them, legit this gun with heavy pen wouldn't be too op as there are severe trade offs for the damage.
It has AP3. The weapon tags are wrong.
*Gameplay tip* : If you try the double edge and find it hard to use because of the self-inflicted dmg then try any armor that give you fire res, it will negates the tick dmg from the gun to 0 dmg. Have fun out there helldivers o7.

The Raise Weapon emote was definitely made to use with the new shovel.
That laser is awesome! I like how you have to build around it. The 75% fire resist + booster does negate the damage. At least until you actually catch fire, but the tick damage is minimum. The ultimatum is so dang handy, especially against bot jammers. It feels balanced though. Small ammo pool means you're gonna have only 2 shots. So youll need the siege armor for extra rounds and/or a supply pack.

I just had a dumb idea for the seeker grenades. They stay by you until an enemy comes near, so could you throw all 4 of them, call in a resupply, and then throw 8 more? Could you just stockpile resupplies in one spot on the map, then use all of them to create an army of seeker grenades? That would be pretty funny. It would also probably cause a ton of lag.
An orbital precision as a side arm is going to be sick

@@jaywerner8415I honestly don’t think it will. Remember that Orbital Strike already has one of the shortest cool downs in the game with it being 60 seconds. You only get 2 shots with the side arm before running out of ammo, so unless you find ammo every 120 seconds, you deal more damage with the OPS. Now there are ways to improve the ammo such as Siege Ready and Supply pack, but if you are investing your armor and backpack to boost the weapon, then that doesn’t seem like an issue.
@@1.21jiggawatts2 Well we shall see. Also doesn't Siege Ready only effect Magazine based weapons? (Rifles, Smgs, Machine Guns, extera) Not sure "single shot" weapons count. But Id have to double check.
As noted supply pack is always an option.
@@jaywerner8415 it was the case in the description of the armor, but it's bugged atm and affect every weapon with a magazine. Also that bugged is not going to be changed because the dev said so in the patch that came out yesterday.
The armors are very inspired by the stoic roman soldiers. It is highly reminisant of the Stoic movement from the same period and I love it. It's the kind of roman armor we don't often see.

the hellbomb backpack will be amazing on bot missions with strategem jammers.
Looking at them as penitents, using the double-edge sickle like the pain box from Dune is their penance.
What I wanna know is the cool-down. Having the ability to blow up anything is nice but I hope the cooldown is at most 2 minutes per call in
I was kinda wishing the same otherwise the one use every like 480 seconds is gonna be sad

I didn't get the Army of Two until the Hellbent but holy that's a gorgeous set. It's a shame I'll have to TK my squad but sacrifices have to be made for the drip.
Also possibly funny idea for how to run this armor passive, full squad has to wear it and everyone must bring team-reloadable support weapons and use the team reload feature. No splitting off either everyone has to stay together. Add that extra spice to every encounter.
With the release of the new Warbond today: The Double Edge's self damage is indeed reduced by Flame Resistance passives, pairing the 90% resistance from the Freedom's Flame armours with the Vitality Enhancement you take either very little or literally no chip damage from the overheat, just don't get too carried away and actually get set on fire. You will take damage from that. It is also Medium Pen regardless of the Heat, so you don't have to run the risk of hurting yourself just to actually hurt stuff.
Still haven’t found an armor passive capable of making me put down the siege passive 😅 but I’m definitely getting these mask. The Dr. Doom & that bank robber army of 2 appeal ✊🏾
This new Las weapon with the overheat mechanic seems like a big setback to my dream of a heatsink backpack

My sources tell me that, atleast at this moment, the lightest fire armor (or heavier) + vitality enhancement makes you immune to the burn of the double-edge sickle
basically this warbond is the nuke warbond, cus you have a strat called a portable hellbomb (a nuke your holding), you have a micro nuke pistol that has a big blast radius and 2 lvls below AP10/skull (which a mini nuke hellbomb/arty, hellpod and SAMs) and the armour set, you just look like doctor doom, plus if you pare it with mulekick armour (the one that give extra ammo), democracy protects, ammo pack, your just basically becoming a mobile sewer-slideal nuclear bomber and randoms should be careful around you, if you either tick them off or something else but i hope this will be worth it in the end

Now I can go full GLA with a portable hellbomb and an FRV right into a swarm of enemies.
Crossbow, Ultimatum, Siege Ready is now the new meta. Those 3 will be pretty much best in slot for every single faction. You will have utility, power and tons of ammo
can confirm the sickles burn is affected by burn resistance. Yes it practically nullifies the burn damage
So heavy Res armour and vitality booster and you take no damage sounds good to me
And the semi hidden weapon: the shovel.
I hope you can drop a primed backpack by just activating it again. Saves us from having to go through the menu.
That means that you can dive unto enemies, killing a heavy and then jump diving to another heavy since you're not gonna survive diving into a horde anyway, killing two heavies!!!
I think we gonna find a new diver type, one who loves both the "Increased Reinforcement Budget" for more dives and "Firebomb Hellpods" boosters... and of course, the new backpack hellbomb
Why don't they give us this booster for heavy armour? I feel like new warbonds we get a new armour passive and it should apply to all 3 armour types

i was really hoping the new laserrifle gets med penetration from the start. The grenaded launcher and hellbomb backpack is sick. And I want that emote :)
For the new sickle: Give it medium Pen and Heavy pen when overheated, but it deals slightly more burn damage.
the armor looks pretty nice the eye in the hooded mask looks like the one from devtac ronin, pretty neat detail

I feel the armour passive should be a thing you manually trigger while on the death screen, a choice to liberate the soulless enemies of super earth or to preserve the votes of your allies in case you trip and die near them.
this makes me wish even harder that we had a 5th slot to dedicate to meme/fun stratagems like the backpack nuke and FRV
I would like to try running the stim pistol and directional shield so I can heal someone with the double edge while guarding them from damage. Likely completely ineffective, but it’d at least look cool.
What would be cool if you could tag a bug hole, or bot fab before you throw it, and then the grenade would kill it. You could clear a light nest crouching behind cover.
3:05 Imagine saying this when we got Armed Resupply Pods. Easily the most useful booster I've used to date. It has saved my ass so many times.
You know what I thought the masks in the war bond were ugly but that helmet that's going to be releasing in the shop on the day definitely makes up for it. It is so badass

As a bot main who is also a sickle enjoyer, I cannot wait to get home and try out the new one
The Noisy Cricket even if nerfed before or after launch would still be a top tier choice. Because why bring a support gun that you have to be stationary for to reload when you could bring a support pack, queso canon and the noisy cricket to destroy everything. Then bring a primary that mows down chaff well and you're good to go.

Also the rifle doesnt fire past overheat, it just burns you early into using its heatsink. I WISH it burned you instead of using a heat sink. Getting to use a bottomless sickle for health would be so cool.
