The storyline is what he's experiencing in real life it's pretty complex but its based on his bipolar and DID which means: Dissociative identity disorder... What's crazy is that he's not acting those characters he knows when he's going to switch they are real personalities in Ian's body Mito is one of his personality and we also know of Insanity! Ian, Mito and Insanity are all different from one another! Just thinking about that is mind-blowing the brain is truly something else🤯
