IMBALANCE TRADING 101 - What it is, How to Find and Trade the Inefficiency Gaps

  • How to trade Imbalance aka inefficiency, liquidity voids, fair value gap (FVG) price action
    Please watch my short videos on imbalance first so you can easier understand the concept while watching this longer video.
    In this video I bring you my own view on imbalances, how I find and use them in my day to day trading. Trading is all about simplicity, you don't need to over complicate it.
    Gaps can be used as points of interest such as for take profit and trade entries for your setups.
    Imbalances are all over price action on every timeframe and can be used to your advantage easily because the market fills these gaps to balance the market and fill more orders.
    Imbalances, inefficacies, liquidity voids, fair value gaps etc are caused by an overload of orders made by institutions that trade millions of dollars per trades. We, as normal trades, can not create such moves. So when you see such explosive candles in price action then that is your signal that the smart money/institutions are in the market pushing the price!
    You should trade imbalances only following the market structure's trend, otherwise imbalances will get filled 100% and that can not be used for entries but if the trend is strong, the imbalance will nly get filled lesser than 60% or even lesser, that's why in most cases it should be used as point of interest for take profits areas.
    Hope you'll use the imbalance indicator show at the end of the video for learning purposes and not trading blindly.

      @@AlexTradingTips Hey brother
      Few suggestions for you as your content is much better and very easy to understand
      since your explanation skills are good
      1. Make sure to put a good thumbnail as the title and the topic is very good the current was isnt so good to attract the right audience
      2. Longer videos would be so much good and you can cut out small clips and make it into shorts where you can speed up the voice.
      3.Do try to bring up all the topics such as choch bos and all concepts into your basic long videos with the similar time frame

    great video!
    Does this apply to stock market as well...and if you have used it in stock market, for lower time frames would you use pre market levels for volume profile and imbalances or only market hours?

    • @AlexTradingTips
      @AlexTradingTips  Рік тому

      Imbalances are a price action technical method, it should work essentially the same on any chart that is liquid.
      Personally I would use only market hours.

    Thanks for the video, however I have one question that baffled me a much.
    When I found FVG/ imbalance in the hourly timeframe, I tried to refine it to the lower timeframe to find the perfect entry after which I found that every candle was perfectly balanced.
    I again went on to a higher timerframe, then that imbalance was still there. Now what to do in such cases, when we lower the timeframe then every candle is perfectly balanced?

    • @AlexTradingTips
      @AlexTradingTips  Рік тому +2

      it depends, some days end in profit, others in a loss, but end of the month is always better than the start by at least 5-10% :)
      When you start consistently growing and don't blow any accounts, then you know you've made considerable progress.

      @@AlexTradingTips do you think % gain depends of the account size?
      Is harder to make 10% with 100k than 10% with 10k?

    • @AlexTradingTips
      @AlexTradingTips  Рік тому +2

      @@capitanu8025 so here's the thing
      Traders that have smaller sized accounts, trade with bigger positions/risks because it's hard to grow a small account when the returns are small too, most traders between 1k-10k sized accs trade with up to 10% risk to grow their account faster, but also the more you increase risk % of your account, the better winrate/risk/reward you need otherwise you'll blow that account easily
      While traders that have close or over 100k accounts, trade with very small risks % like under 1% so yes it's harder to grow a massive account with small risks as such, but their returns are decent enough to keep them low stress and financially okay.
      If you have a massive account and trade with high risk, 2 or 3 losses in a row would demoralize you.
