My son naturally chose the toys he wanted. He almost always ignores the more girly colored toys and dolls. I sit and i watch him in the store when we go just to see what he does because im always curious to see what is going on in that little mind.
I have a BA in sociology I graduated in 2000 and I remember all the way back in my college days learning that gender is not a social construct and learning about the studies on toddlers and their toy choices even when all gender stimulants were taken out of their environment for the first few years of their life and how over 90% of the boys still always chose boy toys and over 90% of the girls still always chose girls toys. Many studies done on this it was long ago proven
Even now the studies are consistent with the ones in your college days. The few scholars who say differently have wonky methodology to disprove the consensus.
Wasn't there a study in the 80s where they did the same test to chimpanzees. The males played with toys designed for boys by majority and the females played with the ones designed for females. I will have to dig around and find it. There removing so many older studies that don't go along with the modern orders being pressed on academia.

Had a debate with an individual who was homosexual. Claiming Israel was oppressing the Palestinian people. When I pointed out that the west Bank had been a autonomous region since 2007 and most offensive actions in that region originated from the west Bank. He started walking off screaming the conversation was becoming one sided. Actually I think they had no answer to the facts.

I think we’ve become more infantilised over the years… our emotional age seems to be stuck at about 3 years…even if we’re physically 30 or 40! Pandering to so many people for so many years has resulted in a society that is prone to tantrums to get what it wants.
The state of american(or western in general) political and social discourse is far worse than that.
Many of the grivances, even of people I disagree with are very valid. Our hyper-real and encouraged narcissistic typed behaviour society when combined with the profitability of pundit type behaviours; and then compounded by the lack of useable power the common person actually has to solve basically any macro scale problems...is essentially just driving some people kinda insane. And that insanity is capitalized upon and exploited in many ways, by many bad actors both foreign and domestic.

Womens level of agreeableness means they agree to delete themselves from the conversation, sport and the rest in the name of not causing a fuss. Yet mostly other men are saying no you are real we are different and you as a women matter.

My mother and I tried to tell my 38 year old (at the time) sister that she was stuck in an intellectual bubble on social media. She called me an a-hole, stormed into her bathroom, slammed the door, and locked it behind her. She wouldn't come out until we left.
I would have been inclined to camp out there until she starved her way out. 😁

How are they losing? They have the support clearly of the powerful elite in the west, pushed by mainstream media constantly, you can’t get a mainstream job without swearing your allegiance to it, new laws passed to ensure nobody can critique it - if this is losing, what is winning

In the late 90's, we made it socially (and in some places, legally) verboten to go for the belt when your child acts a fool.
We're now dealing with the generation of the time-out parents.
My dad went for the belt only twice in my life. That was all it took to make me a respectful member of society.
Well every kid is different my mother told me that as stubborn as I am she could have beaten me to death and not chanced my mind but me being bored made me behave.
And furthermore on the gendered preferences, my son plays “battle” with his sisters dollies and my daughters give his race cars naps with their baby dolls. And I didn’t ever ‘have to’ stand over them saying “no, no children; you must always play in this particular gendered way!”
It is natural and inherent.

Except the title is a total not fact - woke is being promoted and bankrolled by every corporation, new laws are being passed to ensure people get in trouble for criticising it, it’s in your face 24/7 in the media - how are they losing? If that is losing I don’t know what winning would look like
The problem is these kids have been given enough information that they feel that they have leaned something, but haven't been taught enough to question what they have been told. They aren't actually educated. The fact that they can't listen to a speaker and apply some critical thinking skills to what they have just heard before asking a question is strongly indicitive of this. I've listened to a lot of them, and it is pretty clear that none of their professors ever included logical fallacies in the coursework.
Education and academics aren't about cranking out people that all have the same opinions as their mentors, that is indoctrination and brainwashing.

This friend pointed out that there is no way his female friend can get a women pregnant; I said of course not but would you mind watching them try? I'll assume that if the next time I see him, he is limping - he asked my question...
The people you were talking to are in a religious cult so there is no way you can convince them in one sitting. But keep trying because it sinks in and eventually they may wake up and understand the argument against their beliefs.

We have to nail down presuppositions first: Words can carry meaning, rules of logic, law of identity over time, numbers, truth is discoverable, etc.
Do school children have debates as part of their curriculum? In the 1980's when I was at school (probably school years 7,8 &9), we had debates as part of our english lessons. Sometimes you were arguing for something you believed in; sometimes you had to play devil's advocate, and if you were not on the debating team, then you were analysing the content and considering whether you would change your mind.
I dont totally agree with the toy argument. Give me a toy car or train set any day, over a doll. And i think my daughter was the same. Toy kitchens tend to be given to girls, yet in my experience, often the boys had more fun with them. In an experiment shown on a BBC programme, where an unknown baby was placed in a room full of toys, with an unknown adult, the adult would mostly try to entertain the child with a toy matching the gender clothing in which the baby was dressed (and unknown to the adults, the babies were sometimes dressed in the clothing of the opposite gender). There is a very strong social pressure applied to babies, to select, and learn to play with, gender-specific toys.
The only way they've been taught to get their side across is to shout at the top of their voices. Any reasonable debate would expose the idiotic tripe coming out of their respective mouths. Regards from the UK
