I was there. great people that was hosting the show, what was cool is that the point of the show was NOT to make fun of bronies, but to get everyone to se how awesome we are!

This was probably the best brony interview I've heard, that guy was great at answering, couldn't have done it better myself :')

Yep. When I and two girls were interviewed by a local newspaper, they asked us to bring as many toys as possible. I brought a lunchbox full of them, and that with my "There's a pony for that" shirt became the front cover picture for part two of the paper, and we had the entire middle page about us. :) Scandinavian media on bronies rock!

    1. Lol at the guy who didn't know how to wear the Rainbow Dash cap.
    2. Even Norwegians think the English version is the best.
    3. The guys forgot to mention one crucial thing that makes the show so appealing: It's full of genuine sentimentality and heart that is completely opposite that of most shows on TV these days, and touches your heart in a way no other show can, especially if you were a sensitive guy to begin with.

actually the target demograph is 6 year old girls and their parents, they made sure that older people could feasibly enjoy it so that the channel wouldn't immediately be changed when someone else wanted to watch.

Considering that Vikings believed that horses were responsible for the movement of the sun and the moon, I find liking MLP and being of Norse decent quite compatible.

    first, calm down
second, you're right, we're not afraid of being seen as odd, but we DO still want acceptance, and the best way to DO that is to make it part of the norm, and the only way to do that is to gradually introduce it into the norm. metaphorically speaking, you don't dump all the ingredients of a stew at once, you add them one at a time, making sure each piece is add at the right time at the right temperature.

norwegian twilight's VA did fairly well imitating twilight's american singing voice.
also, the interviewer says that there are parts of the show that are extremely feminine and the guy with the giant red pony plushy glances at the rarity plushy.

cool, every interview i have seen have been people who take the whole fandom thing a bit far, though those are always at conventions so it's understandable, but the ones that aren't convention interviews that i've seen, they still continue to take fandom a bit further than necessary

i wasn't insinuating they were doing something bad, but because they are on tv, they become a representation to people unfamiliar with bronies, in other words they're creating a first impression, and while you may have the occasional fan that does wear a mane 6 hat in their day to day life, the majority probably don't, but because of the first impression that is being given, every one of those people will think "wow, what an obsession..." instead of "so its just a guy who likes ponies huh, cool"

I was at the MOA a few months back and saw a couple of guys wearing a Rainbowdash and Fluttershy hat. I don't think it's too weird, especially when people wear a lot ruder T-shirts to public places. I totally understand where your coming from though, and I doubt people wear the hats and stuff on a regular bases. If there are those who do want to it's fine, it's not like their doing anything bad.
