Thank you for the video. This is a good tutorial with detailed explanations. You have used repetitions to highlight your points, and that is excellent. Being so used to using the conventional palm keys for F#, it is a change of paradigm for me to use the front keys. You have taken the time to explain the combinations well. Top marks.
Hi, I find there is not a lot of soprano tutoring, so I was glad when I find you. What is a very good mouthpiece ? do you recc metal mouthpiece for soprano ? I have a yani 992 curv & a cannonball straight stone series with a Lawton7* and Vandoren java 3#. I am only a beginner glen
@@KennyBaik hi 4 strength reed isn’t so hard to blow ?i think harder reeds help intonation but very hard to blow.what is your mouthpiece tip opening?thanks
@@Caglarsax I am using a Selmer Soloist C* with Vandoren strength 4. Some people have difficult time to adjust to the harder reed. If this is the case for you, you might want to check your embouchure. The easiest way to remember is to have your upper teeth to bite down the mouthpiece and lower lip is supporting the reed: like a cushion where you roll your lip on top of your lower teeth.
@@KennyBaik thanks for your reply.i used a hemke 3.5 I can produce sound but i think I can’t manage the steady airflow.it may be about my breathing.i play for 8 months I hope I get good results soon .thanks again and good luck 👍
You play altissimo so effortlessly. I probably look like a pitbull chewing on the end of a bone trying to get those notes out. Maybe I'll just try less effort and some of these alternative fingerings and see what happens.

It’s all about finding good reeds. My setup is a Selmer soloist C* with Vandoren traditional 4.

Please sir how do you make use of the octave key generally while playing a song
Can you get an altissimo A natural and up on the soprano sax?
It's possible! finger 2&3 with the octave key and add side C key
I finger a middle D, but lift up the first finger in my left hand, so 2 3 | 1 2 3. That gets me an easy altissimo A on soprano, alto, and tenor.
Excellent
Nice explanation. Do you have a fingering for the high A?
Finger middle G, minus index finger and add side C to get a better response.
Hi. A good Video. Hut how can i Play high a?
I'm not even trying going higher than F# (Also G with same fingering).. already broke my Yas 23 Alto 😂
my altissimo g won't work
forgot to apply f# altissimo

Front F + side A# 입니다.

I highly recommend to try a harder reed! Vandoren V12 or Vandoren Traditional Blue Box 3.5 or 4. Good Luck!!
