Same thing just happened to me. My family lives next to a graveyard where I put previous family members and I had no idea what was going on 😭 until I seen the ghost
Now I know what the music's origin is... So basically a ghost spawned on the lot in a split of a second. My sim was living in an apartment so I had no idea what was going on.
HATE. THIS. MUSIC. It's fucking SCARY as shit. It's as bad as that music in the first sims game if a burglar came on the lot or if you got fired or something. It's not as creepy now I'm used to hearing it though.
Man, even years later, this music is still scary. Funny story, though. Back in maybe 2010-2011 when I first started playing Sims 3, I wasn't afraid of this music. Anyway, I was playing in Twinbrook and I was first getting acquainted with locking sims in rooms and starving them, and I had collected a grand total of, not three, not two, but one gravestone. The chick I had killed was some random lady in my Sims' friend list, Amy Bull. I kept her grave in my front yard, and whenever her ghost came out, I pretended that none of the family members were aware of her presence except the little girl, who quickly became her best friend. The funny part? Whenever I heard this music, I knew that the ghost of Amy Bull had come back to haunt, and I would immediately say, out loud, "The corpse has come out to play!" This was not only VERY creepy when taken out of context, but it also earned me some pretty strange looks from my family members if they happened to be in the office with me at the time.
I hear this music all the time on my Sims 3 Late Night. I'm just at a bar or theater and theN this music plays, and I'm like "WTF!?!?" I start freaking out and think one of my sims died or something, and then I turn my cursor and see a ghost standing there at the Plasma 101(vampire bar) grave site. LOL I don't know how many times I've freaked out over that...-__-' TOTAL FAIL.
OMG!!! I never knew why this sound would start playing! At first I thought there was a burglar, but the music is slightly different and there was never a burglar. Now I know..
Heard this while playing in Appaloosa Plains. I didn't know where it was coming from until I saw a black and red ghost horse just drifting by my neighbor's house... That was... something.
I remember going to the cemetery and trying to flirt with the ghosts so I could get one of those fabled ghost babies. But when the ghosts disappeared around 5 am the relationship disappeared with them...
My sim was playing his guitar in town by the Theatre and this music played, nothing happened so I looked up why that music was playing and now I know, thank you!!!
I kept hearing this in my sim's house at night. Thought they were being burgled but looked around and nothing. Now I know the cause. Plus they live near a cemetery which explains a lot
The first time I heard this in years and started playing TS3 again. I wondered wtf it was. I honestly didn't know what it was for sure until now. I thought it was aliens at first and then I thought maybe ghosts.
Every god damn time I forget what causes the music, and every damn time I end up having fairly awful ghost-sim experience. And obviously my sim is always frightened because they have seen ghost only billion of times, but they are not used to them enough.
@OtakuQueenB99 Haha IKR!!! My sim lived across the street from the theater and I heard this and had no idea where it came from but then I saw that there was a grave behind the theater :P
I found in my game it is only Twinbrook. But between 11:30 and about 12:15 I keep hearing this music and it scares the shit outta me. I live like three or four long blocks from the cemetery. Could I be hearing ghosts driving by in cars?
From the sounds of it, you either live near the laundromat or Anna-Liza Riddle's house. The laundromat has the gravestone of Macy Clay behind the garage, and Anna-Liza Riddle's house has the urn of Di. L. Emma Riddle in the attic. Sorry for the five years late response. Haha.
It may be late, but now I have to know if I'm right or not (but I'm almost certain I am). Also, another addition: three or four long blocks from the cemetery, you say? Either you live near the two areas I mentioned previously, or you live near the Art Gallery, which contains the urn of Tina Patricia-Copper, one of the two sims in Twinbrook who died of the mummy's curse.
The first time I heard this, I thought it was a burglar and got scared. Then I saw the ghost of one of my Sims who recently died and it made me happy. Then another time, the burglar theme played and I thought it was a ghost. I looked for my dead Sim, and then the burglar alarm went off. Oops!
This happened too me I didn’t know what the sound was until I searched it up on yt and I found this video then I found out it’s a ghost I thought it was somthing scarier
This used to scare the shit out of me because I used to play this when I was like 12. I just bought the game and did something my sim wanted to do. -go to the graveyard or something. That started playing and I closed my computer
To be honest with everybody there's something that kind of Niko Bellic just because of the fact that when I played this game and that music popped up for some reason I was into Grand Theft Auto IV and I put Niko Bellic on the Sims 3 and I had him in the criminal career and when he was in the in the building during the night time I heard this music and all I can think about is him for some reason so this is what this music reminds me of I was wondering why this music played in that area now I know why because of the ghosts that's crazy but that's kind of funny at the time lol
This music scares me so bad Once, I wuz in teh graveyrd and in broad daylight, I herd dis music cuz the ghost of Wilhelmina Leaf came out and I wuz like O_o
Kind of dont get why sims get disgusted by ghosts??? Shouldnt they be at most scared of them like back in the sims 2? Its not like their zoms or ghouls...
Music gets creepy when it plays and you don't see anything in sight. Looked around and found out it was from a house really close to mine lol
Same thing just happened to me. My family lives next to a graveyard where I put previous family members and I had no idea what was going on 😭 until I seen the ghost
Prudência Rugabaixa 😬😬😬😬😬
This music is why I make sure I don't live next to Ms. Crumplebottom
Karyn Wyche lol 😂😂
This is strangely scary.
Sounds like a theme to a 90s cartoon.
At first i thought it was the theme that is telling you your sim is getting fat, lol
whaaat XD
Funniest shit I've read all week.
It starts playing out of nowhere when Mr. Crumplebottom comes out
Oh my god this music sounds so terrifying to me when I was younger
me too oml i was terrified
Now I know what the music's origin is... So basically a ghost spawned on the lot in a split of a second. My sim was living in an apartment so I had no idea what was going on.
I love this sound. I always live near the graveyard just for this music.
HATE. THIS. MUSIC. It's fucking SCARY as shit. It's as bad as that music in the first sims game if a burglar came on the lot or if you got fired or something. It's not as creepy now I'm used to hearing it though.
0:07 Ghosts: "Ugh, a ghost..."
Man, even years later, this music is still scary.

This tune made me very afraid of visiting the graveyard in sims.
Still gives me the chills after all these years.
OMG!!! I never knew why this sound would start playing! At first I thought there was a burglar, but the music is slightly different and there was never a burglar. Now I know..

Am i only one who got nightmares from this tune??
I've got nightmares because of the ghost music from Sims 1
This music made me quit playing the Sims 3 for years.
I used to be so scared of this as a kid.
Rule #3242348384 of life: Always keep music on mute playing the sims.
Yeah Minecraft cave sounds are scary. But do you remember hearing this for the first time?
For me, I always thought it was a humorous touch for the ghosts.
uh, i have bad memories with this music
The first time I heard this in years and started playing TS3 again. I wondered wtf it was. I honestly didn't know what it was for sure until now. I thought it was aliens at first and then I thought maybe ghosts.
The original Sims 1 ghost music is a gazillion times scarier than this!
I love this song. It reminds me the music that plays in Halloween Town in Kingdom Hearts.
That burglar music made me scream first time I heard it.
My ringtone
I heard this twice when I was playing sims 3 today it's freaking scary
Every god damn time I forget what causes the music, and every damn time I end up having fairly awful ghost-sim experience. And obviously my sim is always frightened because they have seen ghost only billion of times, but they are not used to them enough.
Also reminds me of the Makin' Magic soundtrack :)
@OtakuQueenB99 Haha IKR!!! My sim lived across the street from the theater and I heard this and had no idea where it came from but then I saw that there was a grave behind the theater :P
Happy Halloween 🎃

Why? I think it sound a bit sneaky and funny.
Agreed, it doesn't sound scary that much like Sims 1 got.
i love this one! is there a longer version of this?
As a child is was so scared when this happened
Who was that starved sim near that dead old sim
This happened too me I didn’t know what the sound was until I searched it up on yt and I found this video then I found out it’s a ghost I thought it was somthing scarier

I like it, it like, funny.
It's kinda bouncy :)
I always loved this theme bcs that meant it's time to harrass some ghosts and make them join the household without my sims dying xd
Not sure why but this music reminds me of tim burton films not on but all in general.
As a criminal in the Sims 3, I hear this quite a lot of times
should be meet the Ghostbusters music!
at first i thought it was a robber or the sound when it turn 12:00
This music is fine.
Burglar music, however, is fucking terrifying.
I like this Music because of contrabassoon.
Ohhh so i have ghosts thats what it is

Вы бы знали как я в детстве обсиралась с этой музыки
Kind of dont get why sims get disgusted by ghosts???
Shouldnt they be at most scared of them like back in the sims 2? Its not like their zoms or ghouls...
I HATED this theme. It would always make me wanna piss my pants XDDD. I remember going to a different house just so I didn't have to hear that theme.
