I’m not sure the judges understood how much the song meant to David and everyone else who grew up listening to our lady peace and The impact it left, I come back to this cover all the time and cook is still my favourite idol by a long shot , it’s not even close. I love that he took that shot and covered a song that meant something to him. He will always go down as my favourite idol, not only because he’s incredibly talented but because he kept singing for what he believed in
So much time has passed and I still love this song and David's performance. Not really a Paula fan, but I did love how she appreciated David and saw how special he was/is during his season. Simon was a horses patootie, but I remember how happy he was for David on the finale.
It isn't his most standout performance, but it's still better than anything half the contestants in this show's history could have come up with. The guy is great and has a naturally fantastic voice. Love that he won.

the studio version of this song is great!! i didnt love his performance live but then i downloaded the studio version and it is one of my favorites! so i think you should get it and you will be happy again :) lol
The sad fact is that even Rain Maida can’t sing this song live. I’ve seen OLP a couple times live, and the old OLP vocals are INCREDIBLY difficult because of how extreme the pitch shifts are. Innocent, Superman’s Dead etc are crazy hard to sing and I think people really don’t understand that

He should win but they are going to fix it for the other David to win and if the other David does not win, his control freak dad will sue and say that the results were fixed. David Cook should win, he reminds me of chris daughtry.

Went downhill after season 7... the voice is the best music competition on tv right now. And I think season 7 and earlier might've been better than the voice.
He may have been good in other performances but he did not do this song justice the start was bad and the chores was okay but rlly did not do the original justice

The original Our Lady Peace song is one of the best songs i've ever heard!! the only thing i can recognize from this performance is that this guy knows good music, but otherwise, he totally can't sing at all this awesome song, is way too much for him, only raine maide can sing something as big as this song!

The band was the problem. The studio version had a more straight rock feel. This live band funked it up way too much.
