- The Director of Public Prosecutions in Limpopo has taken a decision not to prosecute anyone in relation to the Phala Phala farm case.
In a statement, Director of Public Prosecutions in Limpopo, Ivy Thenga says the decision not to prosecute was taken after a careful assessment of all available evidence presented to the prosecutors by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation.
The complaint, laid by Arthur Fraser, requested police to investigate the conduct of the President Cyril Ramaphosa and Major General Wally Roode, alleging that it amounted to the commission of money laundering and corruption.
This is in relation to the break-in and theft of about $580 000 at Phala Phala Farm in Bela Bela, Limpopo.
NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga says there were no prospects of success.
For an analysis, we're now joined virtually the Director of the Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy Professor Bheki Mngomezulu.

AS THE SA President he is a disgrace to the whole country. Since when do you prosecute on the basis of winning the case. This is the worst kind of example to South Africans who mean nothing to the ANC. how come he is able to have a business as well as hold a parliamentary position.
The Judiciary is captured and an embarrassment to say the list, utter nonsense.
We are nothing but fools to these people. They'll regret.
Mr Mpofu SC
Where are you?
Apply for private prosecution
Mr Masuku SC
Where are you
MK P and EFF
I am waiting 😊
If this was Zuma the whole GNU will be calling for his arrest wow SA is corrupt
They are protecting the GNU to prosecute Ramaphosa now the GNU will fall and the Business will be in trouble because the drive of the bus is Ramaphosa against his own people....Ramaphosa ngiyabonga akaze amele abantu its about him only him.
Where is the Phala Phala money now? This is absurd-Ramaphosa seems to have special laws. According to Treasury, the transaction was not completed. The Phala Phala farm says that the buffalos were never collected. If the money was returned, how exactly was it returned? And if it’s still with Ramaphosa, on what legal basis does he possess it?
The DA also mentioned they will be escalated the matter to the FBI as there was dollars involved in relation to money laundering.
The DA won't do that, remember they are married now‼️GNU ‼️@@the_prodigy_rsa
I admire this guy 's analysis, he's calling it as it is.
The Section 89 panel chaired by retired Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo, found the president may have committed serious violations of the Constitution by “acting in a manner inconsistent with his office”, exposing himself to a situation involving a conflict between his official responsibilities and his private business, as well as violation of sections of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act over the foreign currency that was held at his property in 2020.
This was overturned by the majority of MPs in parliament, shutting the door to the alleged scandal.
However, the matter has recently resurfaced
Justice is for those who have money. It is clear that this president is for the rich, not us
Prof Mngomezulu always spot on.

Welcome to South Africa,is there anyone that's surprised. This man is sooooo rich and he doesn't have a penny to share with any of his people...he must just remember that you can't take your kingdom with you when you die😢😢😢😢😢😢
Not at all, Capitalists are in control, protecting the GNU
Where is Afriforum on this one? These are real issues they can't ignore 🤔 this if they're genuine
AFRIFORUM are the structure for the Stellenbosch mafia 😂. White Supremes protecting.
I always say, DA is a zebra🦓 that will never change its spot. Afriforum is double 🦓🦓
Thank you for being a genuine journalist Anne
SARS said they had no records of the declaration
A wise man once said " if you behaved like your government, you'd be long arrested"...
What a surprise 😁
Ruled by Capitalists, not a surprise #GNU protection
Nah give him time-thy got him-once he leaves the office😂😂😂😂
Ramaphosa is who we thought Zuma was...
@@Ke_Monogeng explain please 🤔
@@sunnyboykaphioa2782 Explain what? Don't wanna compare your question to a Grade R kid's question because I'll be downgrading that child 😂

@sunnyboykaphioa2782 zondo can explain better for you don't you think?
What amazez me is the fact that before gnu people were excited now that they are eating in the palm of phalaphala they are quite wooow what a sad state of affairs in our country , what carefull assesment i would like to know because , 1 Non compliannce , Money laundering , non taxed , non declaration a lot nje as per the law and compliances of this country
Capitalists in control protection of the GNU
These exceptional laws for certain individuals often have unintended consequences. Now, the EFF is set to challenge the National Assembly's decision not to impeach Ramaphosa, using claims of irrationality against the majority vote, ala Dr Hlope.
I am appealing to all South Africans to imagine the flipside of this, i.e. to replace the current arrangement. Will the current accused not be scurrying to perfect the now-exposed State Capture. Mind you PG went to grave carrying this load on his shoulders. Zondo's sanitary clean record as an upright judge would be mired in similar muddy waters like the disgraced judges (known to us), fairly speaking.
The compromise is aimed at keeping Ramaphosa in power and keeping Mashatile and Lesufi and the MK party at bay!
@paulasmulders6832 Only for a short time, his time to account is coming

This man is making jokes about our politicians. Disgraceful from the President of South Africa.
Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa is a South African businessman and politician serving as the 5th and current president of South Africa since 2018
wil they release they namibian guys in jail?
Prof is on point 👉
Totally disgusting and we'll never forget this... Squirrel is disgusting
Tiko rahina ri lovile hiku lava vangale hehla vaendla ku rhandza, varhangeri va hina vana vusopfana NPA nayona yina vusopfa
I agree with this gentleman i was not shocked he is right
So cyril got away with it legally due to corruption
His term will end, then the case will be reopened.. we're being taken for fools 😤😡.. I lost the little respect that I had for him..
People have to read the Phalaphala report. What are veterinary tests, buffalo foot and mouth deseases, tuberculosis and brucelllosis? What are the accruals of assets or liabilities? It's about LAW accompanied by the accounting of goodwills and trademarks not opinions. These are LEGAL and ACCOUNTING matters.
EFF together with ATM must request a non prosecution certificate by no latter than next week so that we institute private prosecution. Phala nose must face the full might of the court.
If its ok for Squirrel Ramaphosa to be in possession of foreign currency without going the legal route - then its ok for we the people too...
We were warned in Deut 17:15. Now we have to accept Deut 32:21 and Rom 10:19
Mngomezulu seems to be very interesting because he does not show equal enthusiasm where Zuma's shenanigans are concerned.
😂😂he is always against anc and its leaders including ramaphosa 😅
Is his commentary wrong?
@sfisophirie8704 what commentary this is a professor
Say, like which ones, the Zuma shenanigans? I just need one example. There's a difference between what's alleged, and what's evidential. Undeclared money was hidden inside swon couches and mattress. What's evident shenanigans are there about H. E. President J. G. M. Zuma, other than the diarrhoea that your mainstream media spews daily?
The Namibians are back in court on the same day [Ramaphosa] challenge is being held. 26th
Atleast julius malema is accounting but this baffalo refuses to be held accountable.
So what’s happening with the 3 accused in the dock?
There is a case going on at the courts. I see no use of the rush to pursue President Ramaphosa other than to derail State Capture and the July uprisings prosecutions. Building a thriving South Africa can never be achieved by playing political games through our Jurisprudence.
If you have money you will always protected by law
What happen to the thieves?
If Zuma can do it , so is Ramaphosa
And this during the interviews for judges - what are we to think?? The public protector, the NPA and the?JSC? Are those judges being picked because they can play the game. “Or anyone else” they had to do that to cover the jelly’s @r§3. If you get rid of the evidence - no case. What an example to the whole world. Maybe it’s an ANC thing so that he will resign????
Pp issue, cr 17 ,500 billion not questionable our justice really has eyes
Another "paid for "Comrade appointed to the Dept of Justice. Have they already been paid "under the table"?? in an Offshore account? OR in cash so its not traceable! SIS.
His space is dirty
Leanne, you are asking the wrong person. He is not the lawyer, he always speaks his own opinions without case law, customary law, statutory law, common law or regulations. This is a waste of your precious time.
Then the question should be are his opinions wrong though?
What makes us to be sure about the amount.
How so can they not be presecuted 😢😢 or is there any rule
Welcome to South Africa if this was a north African country he would be in handcuffs by now
So would Zuma.
You cannot force NPA to prosecute
So mngomezulu want ramaphosa to be impeach
He even want to like DA only to feed his ego of impeaching ramaphala😂😂😂
Who's money was taken please come forward and it was not taxpayers money mina as ngiyingeni
I though cup cake was the best president anc ever had...
