So...the bridge. Can we talk we talk about it for a minute? Can we talk about how the melody and music of that part is featured in 'End of an Era' on their new album, which is partially about letting go of 'Porcelain'? And can we also talk about how this musical allusion/direct link is probably the saddest and most creatively woven genius in pop rock right now? As a novelist, I can't handle how fantastic Josh Ramsay's writing chops are. He writes the most beautiful stories in music, woven over several albums. Just blows my mind. The kid is massively, massively underrated and he doesn't deserve to be labeled as just a guy who writes 'catchy' songs.
+redraven24 IKR!!!! PLUS he's got so much more talent then that too and he's personally Easily relatable/has an interesting life, very nice, super humbled, VERY SMART like how much hell has this kid been through and yet he always fine's a good way out of it them and do something impressive with that, he's worked with some other very talented artists and done good for them , he's always working his ass off , like how many celebrities can have a good fame world and a still have a GOOD home life too. like he was only like 27 when he found out that his mom which he loves so so much got dementia (and btw no duh y his mom is SO AWESOME AF!) , LIKE JEEZE YES Hee and MT need a lot more credit then they get like they are probably just as talented as classic rock bands but they don't get to show it and they are a band that can actually handle fame and money too!
Diana Harper Yes, Josh is very grounded for a celeb (from what I've seen). And he seems like the guy who goes out of his way to include every single hand in a creative project's credits. He also seems very nice to people..mouthy and loud with a heavy dose of profanity and smart-assery...but sweet at the centre. Not that he's not a human with flaws and ugly spots on the inside, but he's overall a decent fellow. I just have mad respect, not only for his talent and writing, but also for the way he never seems to like to be singled out for something within the band. He's hesitant to say that an entire album was created in his head or that he is somehow better than his bandmates. He knows that his mates are like his family and that they make the band just as much. In summary, I love his humble teamwork mentality. Good kid, that one. Rough around the edges, but still good.
So agreed and he gets that humble thing from his mom. and well he's being young like when he wants to be mature he will. and plus thus band is a rock band that's clean and they have respect to anyone color, gender, sexuality, etc. and they have respect for CANADA their home which I love too. this band is perfect.
almost all of Astoria echoes Ever after, but I find Porcelain to be the strongest thread. maybe it's because it's my favorite so I automatically hear it. I've been struggling with depression, which leaves me feeling lost some days and this song is an anthem for me.
redraven24 As a thereotical physicist I totally agree he writes so well. As a cyclist his writing is just amazing. As a basketball players I find his writing so good
I guess you can say this is a Masterpiece about an Ever After Beside you and about her being a perfect Porcelain and us following her like Toy Soldiers because we Haven't Had Enough leading to Desperate Measures And So It Goes to No Place Like Home.
Excellent video, beautifully done. I'm struggling to see what my husband sees in me in regard to this song lol, I'm a veteran, martial artist, servant of God who is "fine in the fire and feeds on the friction"-10 Years
"it's alright if you don't know what you need" is such a powerful and reassuring line... makes us emotional every time
it was me. U R welx. also I wrote it about you
the way this song swells and the line 'you won't fall to pieces' makes me bawl like a fuckin baby every time
Same 😭 I want this at my funeral
but im not there to hold you
