I read The extended Mind after hearing a wonderful interview of the author on The Ezra Klein Show podcast. The book is beautifully written and is filled with study citations. One of the most impactful parts of the books was about how walking in nature frees your mind to think creatively. I've recommended this book to many friends, including teachers and professors. The summary is just a taste of the content, it's not a substitute for reading it.

    1) Practice "Body Scans" to increase awareness
    2) Use body gestures while speaking
    3) Use mind maps to grasp the big picture of a concept

    What a great book..!
This could be a parenting marvel as well..!
Many children from 90s and then are not aware of these techniques and underperform most of the times. Practicing these techniques will help people to be mentally strong and confident i their thoughts and ideas implementation.

I'm devastated I'm speechless. I'm terrified I can't believe someone might have left my dad for dead and he woke up on the side of a highway.

Biggest tip to extend your mind: learn programming. It allows you to materialize your thoughts as self-sustaining logical devices. That can do real things in the world.

@thechancellor I would be interested in hearing from those who read this and can explain how the @thechancellor’s message here is an example of a technique employing Extended Mind.

I realize I haven't read the book itself, and I'm sure some information must have gotten lost in the summarizing process, but based on this video at least, the first idea, scanning your body, sounds like pseudo-scientific BS.
