Trains on Emmerich station - 5th of September 2017

Trains on the border station of Emmerich on the 5th of September 2017. Emmerich (also known as Emmerich am Rhein) is a border station where a lot more happened previously. Since 2016 the voltage on the overhead wires was changed to 15kV, making Dutch trains running on 1500V unable to reach the station. Before that locomotive changes happened daily.
Since 2017 RE19 drives from Dusseldorf to Arnhem Central station and you can now reach this station from Arnhem relatively easy. Before that this was not possible as the regional express ended in Emmerich and no train service existed between Zevenaar and Emmerich. Quite some freight came through, so enjoy!
