Parks and stuff are actually decided by local government rather than federal, so it would be the ones involved with the local government. It's actually a pretty common thing; most states have at least one park that used to be a cemetery.
Hell, not only are current parks planned over old, NOT relocated, boneyards, but it was pretty common to treat cemeteries as parks, back in the day. Had picnics, took walks, probably courted...
I appreciate all the hardwork. This is one of the first channels I've been hooked into since 2017, I think. But I really miss the old ghosts and unresolved mysteries way back then.

Yaaay! This video made my day! I'm from Sheffield and didn't know about the demon dog so has been really interesting. Also my mum works at Northern General hospital on the Vickers Corridor and can confirm that Vickers is haunted. I've been through that part of the hospital a few times and can confirm its very creepy. I was surprised though that the 2 most famous ghosts of Sheffield weren't mentioned though which are the Stockbridge Bypass ghost and the ghost that haunts the old Carbrook Hall pub (now a Starbucks). Would definitely recommend a future paranormal story for you with either of those, they are brilliant tales 🤍👻 Keep up the outstanding work, your my favourite channel on UA-cam and never, ever miss an episode.
I'm so happy to see you cover Sheffield! I live just down the road from bunting nuck! Never met a Bogart though, will make sure I practice my ridiculous spell when I walk the dog in graves park!
I THOUGHT that was Sedgefield. My grandma lives in a village up the road. She was also born in Yorkshire and raised on a tenant farm outside Sheffield. She was in town during the blitz and, running home, was invited into a building for shelter. Her cousin grabbed her and kept her running, as it was a morgue! Also, on the farmland was the old Tudor House where the imprints of Queen Mary's feet can still be seen on the rooftop, where she'd wait in hopes of a pardon.

I remember my mother telling me that when I was almost 4, I would come into her room in the middle of the night, sleepwalking, and tell her there was a big black dog with red eyes in my room. She said I did this sporadically for a couple of weeks. She said I didn't seem scared but when she told me about it years later I was unnerved. I think I'm glad I dont remember it myself. My hometown of Windsor, CT has a scary history, including one of America's earliest recorded serial killers, witch trials and hangings (in the neighboring town) and so many haunted sights for being such a relatively small town that it boggles the imagination. Some of the Windsor folklore is likely not online but Hartford county as a whole, of which Windsor is apart, would give a wealth of material that would be easy enough to research.

Atchison, Kansas is known for being the birthplace of famous pilot, Amelia Earhart, but it also has a history of gruesome murders, disturbing the dead and being a factor in the line of defence against Missourians during Bleeding Kansas. The most notable location for paranormal investigators is the infamous Salle House. I would love to see a segment on the most haunted city in my home state of Kansas.
Here in Delaware we have a fort Delaware also known as pee patch island. I'm 41, but when I was eight my mother and I got stranded on the island because we missed the last boat back to the mainland. I mean even the gift shop ladies had left it was the absolute last boat before the weekend. Thank God the captain remembered that there was a mother and a daughter missing on the way back or we would have been there the weekend this was on a Friday. Remember this was before cell phones. Do you notice how nice it is to be able to look at the monuments while listening to the stories? One doesn't feel affection towards the monuments but rather it adds to the storytelling of our history. Sad that many of the monuments shown in this video are not in it's historical spot anymore!
When I was 17 I accidentally took way too many Benadryl Gel Tablets. I felt a bit woozy so I decided to take a bath and relax. After about 20 minutes I began to see whisps of movement through the glass of my shower door. I focused on the commotion and saw a hook nosed man grinning at me through clear patterns in the ghosted glass. Well, that was lame, so I headed downstairs and found my parents watching tv in the living room. My dog Tyson was happily sitting in the threshold of the two rooms. Naturally, when I reached out my hand to pet him it went straight through his head and he disappeared. I retreated upstairs to my room. As I entered I heard the ticking of a watch that had not worked in years; it’s hands flowing backwards. I decided it was bed time. I laid down with my face stuffed in the pillow. I then heard a whisper that sounded of many different voices in unison. It said my name then counted “1,2,3. Brandon 1..2..3 Brandon 1..2..3.” I challenged myself to look towards the source of the haunting chant. My eyes followed up a large dark silhouette cast against the rows of shirts in my closet. It wore a tattered suit and its height nearly obscured a large top hat on its crown. I immediately thrust my face back into the cover. After a few moments the chanting stopped. Only starting back up again at the side of my bed. I was so shocked I instinctively craned my head to look and saw a woman with motor oil soaked black hair draped over her face; her arms hung limply at her side. That shit scared me so much I laughed at both the “apparitions” and exclaimed “nice try” in a cracked, uncertain voice. Yet, it worked! They were banished and I slept fine that night. Well, average sleep. Average to absolute shit.
I live in County Durham and always knew it had ghost stories but it was still really cool seeing it featured on this list, the cathedral is worth visiting if anyone ever comes here, it’s one of the oldest in Europe, love the channel - been a subscriber for years now
You should investigate "Winchester, Virginia..." Winchester, as a town, predates well, the Revolutionary war. There's a small building in 'old town,' that is supposed to be the headquarters of George Washington. Winchester is abundant with houses from that era, up through the Civil War, the Victorian age, up to the present. Several of those homes are said to be haunted... "Rose Hill," is a farm at the edge of the town, that predates the Civil War. It is said to have been used as a hospital for wounded soldiers. The maker of the series of the Civil War, 'Ken Burns,' reported that Winchester and the surrounding area, exchanged hands between the North and South, '88,' times! Making this part of the 'Shenandoah Valley,' a major scrimmage line of the war. To the north is Harpers Ferry, another old town, where the Shenandoah River meets the Potomac River, and then turns toward Washington DC. The Shenandoah Valley is filled with ancient places, even predating the Colonies. There are very old places, churches, graveyards, and places long forgotten by the modern world. You could spend years here, 'digging up,' the past and seeking hauntings...

So cool! I Love top5s, absolutely love that you did Boston!! I live 10 mins from Downtown Boston, and I always used to go to George's Island (Fort Warren) as a kid with my family. Great Vid as usual 😊
“A dislike to men” sounds like my cousin’s dog
Was awesome! Thanks for my hometown touch Top5!!
Average to absolute shit.
h1mb brush your teeth they look like corn on the cob, sweet tooth
THE MUSIC ENHANCES THE ATMOSPHERE
I live in County Durham and always knew it had ghost stories but it was still really cool seeing it featured on this list, the cathedral is worth visiting if anyone ever comes here, it’s one of the oldest in Europe, love the channel - been a subscriber for years now
You should investigate "Winchester, Virginia..."
Winchester, as a town, predates well, the Revolutionary war.
Ooh, I love this plan you've got about looking up patreon's hometown mysteries!
I actually have a haunted story in my home town. I would love to see it here!
