This is guitar track only. How you want to sonds like? This is only guitar part. If you hear the drum parts, or any isolate instruments, they sounds like empty too.
I nearly finished this video and was thinking the same on why Duality sounded a bit empty. Wasn't until 3:34 that I realized the video says guitar only lol! I was so confused because I swore Duality had drums, vocals, etc. Silly me lol!

that's an artificial harmonic/pinch harmonic , it's a technique where you pinch the string between the thumb of your picking hand and the pick
And also use high distortion if u want the pinch harmonics to sound good
