I think we are getting this because Kinn has to go back to being Boss Kinn, but they want us to see how much has changed between Kinn and Porsche. Kinn is so soft when it comes to Porsche, not just his demeanor but his voice changes. I also liked that even though Kinn basically says he's not in pain you see the pain when Porsche rests his head on him, but Kinn is completely content because he's once again close to Porsche so everything is alright. I also think we are getting this because Vegas is Vegas and his whole purpose in life seems to be making Kinn's life miserable. The only reason he's obsessed with Porsche is because he knows Kinn likes Porsche.
Not exactly this but a lot of hospital scenes happen in the novel. Vegas comes prepares fruit for Porsche and kinn busts in on them with his serum and heart monitor thingy in tow for example.

If you look closly, you'll notice a camera inside of the flowers. Someone had to pint it out to me. Don't know if Kinn knew or he was just jealous, could be both 😅😂
Dribbling out one episode per week isn't enough for fans. I think Be On Cloud is quickly becoming aware of this, hence this side story, character intros, Jeff's music videos, etc. Fans want more, a lot more, and once a week just isn't cutting it. Re: this sweet side story, I think we all know that something terrible is going to happen to force our two lovebirds apart. Every love story has that kind of conflict. The lovers have to have the opportunity to show their true love for each other in the final reel and overcome all of the obstacles keeping them apart. Vegas is clearly going to stir up some sh*t and I don't trust Kim, either. There are also baddies lurking in the background that haven't been i.d'd yet. We still don't know who was behind the kidnapping, and Kinn is very aware that the family has enemies everywhere. I predict that things are going to get complicated, very complicated, for Kinn and Porsche from here on out.

I can’t stop thinking about Kinn’s “The wound was nowhere near the heart”. The wound doesn’t have to be near the heart to hurt so…considering that later Porsche is referred to as “Kinn’s heart” multiple times, I’m wondering if that’s what Kinn meant too in this scene - it’s him who was shot, not Porsche (aka his heart), so he’s alright. (god I love these two so much I can’t stand it 🫠)

They’re deviating from the novel quite a bit so nobody knows what to expect, trauma is definitely on the way along with all the fluff though….
