    I've been looking for someone to teach me this in English! Thank you so much! :) I was wondering if you can use the microwave instead of the oven for the last step?

      Hi there.. thank you for your comment... and you're most welcome. To answer your question.... the microwave will only melt the cheese and warm it up. The oven on the other hand.... will melt the cheese and give it the crispy golden brown topping .. I wouldn't suggest the microwave.... The oven makes a difference.
      You can place it in the microwave if you want to reheat it and eat it again! Hope this answers your question. Thank you😊

      You can use unsalted cod and season to your liking as you are preparing the dish. Thank you😊

    Hi Nancy, did you use fresh cod or salted cod? If it was salted cod, did you rinse over night?

    • @diywithnancyg1502
      @diywithnancyg1502  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Sandra.. Yes, the cod was salted, placed in water for 24 hours. Thank you for your question.🥰

      This version looks also amazing, but you didn’t use boiled eggs as I saw on other recipes. Which is the standard? Or is it bound to regional interpretation in Portugal?

    I've already had it with breadcrumbs on top for a nice variety of texture.

    Hi Nancy, which program did you use in the oven to cook?

    • @diywithnancyg1502
      @diywithnancyg1502  7 місяців тому

      I place it in the oven at 350F for 30 minutes. The last 5 minutes I turn the oven to low/medium broil. Keep an eye on it to avoid the top from burning. You want a light golden brown topping. Thank you🥰

    Hi did you use dried salted cod fish?

    • @diywithnancyg1502
      @diywithnancyg1502  Рік тому +1

      I used salted cod, by placing in the water for 24 hours and changing the water, to remove majority of the salt. At that point I boil the codfish.

    Did you soak the cod fish before hand?

    • @diywithnancyg1502
      @diywithnancyg1502  3 роки тому +3

      The codfish was soaked for 24 hours in water, changing the water 3 times in the 24 hours.
