Point of orders are usually direct insults, not meaningful contributions that reflect our leaders interests in making this country a better place.
Also, the very same people that interrupt with point of orders, probably tell their kids it's rude to interrupt someone when they are talking.
The issue is that usually we see Parliament not being productive. The thing that makes this country move most of the time is the executive branch. Barely ever does Parliment do anything meaningful. So it has proven to have been useless way before EFF showed up. Given the fact that the ANc has ⅔ majority before the EFF, but nothing new was done with that. The point of orders raised here with non-thinking members of parliament is to shake and distrust the status quo. EFF has had great intellectual contributions to parliament and national discourse. We seen the way the DA has been unable to actually show any real challange to the ANC despite being official opposition. The other members are also not very serious on brining up serious macro issues. So the EFF being so disruptive is disturbing the peace these members have by going with the status quo and letting the executives run however they want to, them being disruptive forces Parliment to remain awake and keep moving. It should never be undermined that it was EFF that worked to push out a president and hold him accountable, they started conversation on land, they worked to bring up issues on illicit financial flows, they started workshops on educating members of parliament. Before them, only thing this country responded to was the executive's decisions and the judiciary rulings. So when you are engaged with people with no ideological grasp, or any consciousness, and with no real world comprehension of thing you barely have anything to debate about. So rather disruptive and force them to start learning so they can come back and try their best again. We have seen how these people sleep in parliment and they are extremely useless in terms of actual work in parliment. As disruptive they are, EFF is doing great work.
