Just work 4 days, then. I had to work about a year before having enough pull along with the rest of the crew to go from 5 to 4 days. Just depends on the job, I suppose. It wouldn't work in hospitality though.
No one has explained on the pay works...getting paid the 5 day work week salary in a 4 day work week keeping the same pay. So is the hourly wage increased?

i tend to vote red, but i like the spirit of this idea. i think we all work way too much, just to put food on the table and rich become even richer, but i do not think it should be a law. why not let the market decide if it makes sense? even the dems are too greedy to let this one get any traction
I would love this - frankly I hope that the current crisis helps here because it will put a lot of zombie companies out of business (yes, that's partially bad for the employees, but it could be the chance to reform/transform the workplace because a lot of entrepreneurs will have to change their companies and this might be one of the things that will be tried!) I would however prefer a 6 hour workday (for 5 days)!
This Is BS. Maybe 10/4 works for people who work in an office but not for people who work on production lines in factories and workhouses who continously move all those hours. It is meantally and physically exhausting.
child care has already be tax payer funded, that check has been written, and cashed. its called "education system". dont get me wrong, i dont disagree with you

I have a challenge with this system as a result I can not make a consistent payroll system. My contract pays on hours basis, and in the same month I get employees that accumulate 192 hours(12*16) others make 168 and 180 hrs. What universal labour rate-man hour should I use ? If I pay full for 80 % of the time then I will lose out .
I got one of these and I love it, work 2 days. Off 2 days, work 2 off 1 then it repeats love it
This guy is a LEGEND.
FDNY of NYC has a 4-DAY work week for 10 hrs per day!
who is also for homework here?
We Definitely need this ...Some days I just need a extra day so I call off sick (not really sick)
Wish I worked for this guy
they got rid of dislike button :((((((((

Yes! Yes! Yes! 4-day work week The ONLY reason work wants us to work so muchh is to enable everyonne to CONSUME more
work smart not work hard
make it 3 days plus basic income
Yaaas!
No. That's not financially sustainable.
Great boss with common sense about happy workers are good workers = more money for the boss + business!

Many companies have tried this with employees working four 10-hour days. That way you still get 40 hours of time.
That is not the same.
@@eazy-333 sounds like the same to me. 40 is 40
My current employer is doing the same thing. It feels better than working 8hrs...5 days a week

Wouldnt you save on childcare if you worked four days though?

I've been promoting the 4 day work week for years but it keeps falling on deaf ears.🙄

This helps salary employees but screws hourly employees
