It’s funny how this progresses: Allies find a Fed target, scramble intercept, Feds scramble planes, Allies scramble more planes, Fed scramble _more_ planes, Allies scramble _even more_ planes, Feds scramble _every plane of each of their client states_, and Allies launch the Sicarios.
This is literally how EVE Online’s Battle of B-R5RB became the ridiculous engagement that it was.
2:10, “Is this heaven?” That got a good chuckle out of me.
Valhalla for fighter pilots: Clear blue skies and an endless furball every day.
To think, this massive air fight started between 2 patrol squadrons...
The most advanced conventional fighter craft in existence, piloted by the best of the Federation...
Shot down by what basically amounts to a plane sized rifle XD. I love it, honestly.
Cant out turn a gun pod.
As someone with no knowledge of what Project Wingman is, good lord this is confusing as hell but bloody awesome
As someone who's played it multiple times: That's just the game in general.
Sukhoi 25/10 would recommend
@@Attaxalotl I honestly had more fun with PW than AC7. Although, the multiplayer was fun while it lasted. If they added multiplayer, dlc, or co-op to PW it would be so amazing.
You see, they had transports.
So we sent interceptors.
And they sent interceptors to intercept our interceptors.
And we sent interceptors to intercept their interceptors.
And they sent...
And we sent...
EVERYTHING.
The music perfectly cut itself off at 11:05 when that last plane was shot down! That's some satisfying timing.
@@ervineonline Also, in the debriefing? I counted out how many planes you managed to shoot down.
I'm not fucking kidding when I say this:
Your kill count was 69.
_Nice._
So GALAXY was right when he said monarch got a ridiculous kill score
In ace combat 6 you actually have to fight more targets at once than in PW mission 11, that game is underrated af, and another thing... you were ALONE, literally 1vs70
2:07 Monarch: Is This Heaven?
Everyone's talking about Monarch and hes like "You got this Dip!". Equal parts wholesome and cynical, love it.
Monarch was probably thinking like that one character from Left 4 Dead 2: "Holy shit, guys... KIDDIELAND!!!!"
@@swatcccp4673 Yeah, him. I don't play L4D so I didn't want to mention specific names.
I absolutely love how the music complements the cinematic gameplay here in particular, thats a hell of a flight, ace
I love Jose Pavli's music! Its just so good and perfect for this!
SHOW ME THE MONEY!! YAHOOOOO!! I LIVE FOR THIS!!
Reinforcement is Galm, I repeat the reinforcement is ga.... wait wrong game :P
So uh, when are you doing this but with the Doubletime modifier to make this the truest clusterfuck in the world?
I actually tried this with all the modifiers on, but my game was lagging a lot. But yeah, it was crazy for sure. When I upgrade my computer I will try to revisit Project Wingman.
@@ervineonline Honestly just double time is enough because there are more missiles than there are clouds in the sky with it on. It's insane.
@@krullachief669 Interesting... Sounds fun! I may play it again after RE8 dies down.
Originally I was gonna be a good merc and go for the transports but on subsequent playthroughs I am: plen plen plen
Haha, yeah! Anytime I saw yellow in this game I just assumed it was a morality check. XD
@@ervineonline
Zero moment lmao, though unfortunately to the dude out yachting while Pearl Harbor the sequel happens I always have like some incentive to shoot the poor guy lmao
Question of the Day: "Why is Monarch carrying 25 UGBS into an air battle?"
So he can carpet bomb the furball obviously. He literally just has to fly over and jettison everything and he'll probably take out 5 or 6 aircraft... hopefully the right ones :P
Damn !
Monarch gaming
Monarch dialogue? How?
@@ervineonline That's some serious skill. Mad eternal respect to you bro!
Should have added a comment at 8:11... Maybe something along the lines of
Ah yeah, I remember this. It sounded like something Monarch would say, and so I just left it alone. Mb.
Are the neutral targets the cargo? I always avoided shooting the neutral targets caus I figured it was like shooting civilians
It's technically the main objective of the mission. The transports are filled with personnel that have experience fighting Cascadia. They didn't want them going back to the Federation and have them share their experiences. I felt Monarch would be distracted by the furball that he might have let them go, but they should be taken out imo.
How many missiles attatched to the wings?
12 UGBS on the wings, and the gun pods are on the ends. In hindsight I shouldn't have bombs equipped for air-to-air, but I was lazy. XD
@@ervineonline Wait gun pods can be attached to the end of the wings? How much ammo do those things contain?
@@Loser-jh3tq Uh, let me clarify. The green pods in between the UGBs are the gun pods. The total ammo is 1,200, but you can fire them with the MG so it helps a bit. The SMs are tucked in the middle of the UGB. The MLAAs are on the belly. Sorry for the misinformation, I hadn't played the game in a while.
How tf is nobody shooting at you?
When I play, I have to dodge on average 50 missiles(not exaggerating) before crimson.
I think they got distracted by the other jets, but not sure. I was out of the main fight a bit at the start. I remember trying this mission with all the modifiers on and that was hell. XD
i think this mission was the most fun i got out of this game, amazing game, and excellent mechanics, and awesome music, i dont think it can get better than this
I like the fact that Monarch's first line is "Is this heaven?''. Like he just entered a zone of level 1 players as a level 50 player
Yeah! XD Great comment!
@@ervineonline nice editing for Monarch's dialogue btw. I didn't knew you actuallymade it yourself
@@aureusknighstar2195 It could be better, but I could never find the exact font name. XD Thanks though!
@@ervineonline did you just edit in the voiceless lines or are you actually making a mod to give Monarch voiceless subtitles?
@@phantomwraith1984 I just edited in my own subtitles.
