Loved this. This is a tune composed by John Arcand of Saskatoon Saskatchewan, a number of years ago. I'm at the John Arcand Fiddle Fest right now and will let John know that his tune is being played so fine by these wonderful musicians. John would be proud.
Hello Calvin! I have happy memories of hearing you play at the bluegrass festival outside of Edmonton. I guess i need to learn some more John Arcand tunes!
Thank you Calvin! Fiddler tune composers need to be acknowledged..... Tunes by John Arcand and Frankie Rogers (and others) are all too commonly referred to as 'traditional.'
Molly Tuttle....! What a gift to this music she is. One of the very best guitar ( and mandolin) pickers to ever be born. Her dad must be very, VERY proud of her. He taught her everything he knows about music and she just left him in the dust, from a very early age, too, I might add. These Tuttle kids, her siblings, are all just great musicians. What a joy to be in that household for the parents. Wonderful !
I keep coming back to this all the time. Sometimes I wake up hearing this play in my head! I never heard this composition before until you three did it here... and then I heard Sierra play it (octave mando for North Field) and I've started to learn it myself on mando. You three together make a mighty and awesome combination. I hope you all play together again soon. You are my favorite musicians.
Wow, all three are just so tasteful. Three virtuoso musicians complimenting one another musically as opposed to trying one-up each other with speedy runs and licks. I watch this weekly and it always sounds fresh :)
No matter how much I watch this I can't help but become overwhelmed by the absolute majesty. Each one is a master in their own instrument surely, but the harmony they create together is just... The feeling dreams are made of.
The three of you probably hear it a lot, but that is just wonderful. I am always amazed at such dedicated and hardworking musicians. It's so darn .... I can't even explain it. Thanks.
Three of the very best musicians on the planet. There is not a tune ANYWHERE these people do NOT know. How they can keep them all straight, to play flawlessly, every time is totally beyond my ability to understand. I play a bunch of mandolin (fiddle) tunes and have terrible trouble keeping them straight during a set or jam. Maybe they just "work out the set list" before a show is the only way I can even attempt to try it myself. Sometimes it can get a little dicey. Man, these folks are something else !
Beautiful tune, composed by someone from Saskatoon - and perhaps that's where the little extra measures come from - bound to bewilder any player they spring it on - fantastic playing!

My heart sings :)
Wonderful.
There should be a fiddle tune called 'Molly Tuttle's Eyebrows' that makes us feel like this!
WOW!!!!
I need a pic of Molly's hands. I'd like to see what 6 fingers on each hand looks like.

only 5 on her right hand, but she's holding three picks.
Look how long her little pinky is...engineered for guitar.
Hotamighty Dang!!
Damn, they seem like they aren't even trying, yet they are tearing it up. I wish I could be as comfortable playing Cowboy Chords slowly.
O M G !
Wow,!
すげえ、、、

4 years later and this still thrills my ears and eyes!

Great playing. Molly, polish the top of your guitar more often to get rid of unsightly fingerprints.

they need to clean up a bit before they go on stage
not a stage it’s a house party
