Because the Time is Near-Part 2-The Kingdom of God-Part 1

This sermon, preached by Rev. Christopher E. Myers (Unionville Baptist Church) on Sunday, January 12, 2025, gives an overview of the doctrine of the Kingdom of God. This doctrine serves as a framework, like the edge pieces of a jigsaw puzzle (along with the picture on the lid), that ties together and unifies the various pieces of the biblical puzzle. It thus helps us to "rightly divide the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). Alva J. McClain's The Greatness of the Kingdom (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 1959) and Michael J. Vlach's He Will Reign Forever: A Biblical Theology of the Kingdom of God (Silverton, OR: Lampion Press, 2017) are essential reading for this subject.
