I just found a Ravensburger 1000 piece of the Beatles Yellow Submarine at the thrift store for $1.50!! I’ve done that Galison I’d Rather Be Reading. It was fun. And yes, I’d like to see more of these if you have them!
This was so much fun to watch. If it were me, I’d be stuttering and stumbling over what I wanted to say-you did not present yourself as a puzzling presenter “newbie” by any means. Isn’t it strange how much changes in such a short span of time? BTW, the deer puzzle-FORGET THAT!!!!😂😂😂
Totally enjoyed this "look-back" video! Also very much appreciate in your videos when you look at the puzzle image (typically on the front of the puzzle box) and you discuss that puzzle image, you hold the puzzle box so your viewers can see the puzzle image at the same time while you're talking about the puzzle image :-) (I don't like a different puzzle channel because that presenter talks about a puzzle image while that puzzle image is in front of the presenter facing toward the presenter while the viewer can't see the puzzle image.) Thank you for your wonderful puzzle videos :-)

Side note: I have all my puzzles in my collection on an app so I have rated them 1-5 star and I can make comments of what I thought of them at the time. It’s called collect and this app has saved me multiple times from purchasing the same puzzle that I already have. It’s not free but we’ll worth the one time fee.
Loved seeing this look-back. Im still in the process of figuring out what I like, and i have found my preferences have changed drastically after focusing on speed puzzling for a while. Right now i care about the size of the puzzle and the fit of the pieces more than the image! There are many puzzle images that i am not interested in aesthetically that i found really fun to do, especially scenes with people and buildings. And some things that i thought were easy like words and collage images, I find the most difficult. I also have discovered that I like sky too! (So long as there aren't false fits!)
An interesting blast from the past. In early days of puzzling what you like and don't like is still being worked out. I know that I won't touch any jigsaw that has vast areas of sky, sea or greenery. I very rarely do any that look like photographs. Even today I still have the occasional ooops I shouldn't have bought this one! I don't angst over failures, just move on to the next one in the pile. I've just finished a jolly 200XL Ravensburger puzzle called Protect Our Planet. I go by image, the artist is irrelevant, although for some puzzlers the artist is all important. Look forward to your next video.
Loved Odyssey. They were one place you could really rely on having good inventory during the pandemic. And they always put a personal note in your order. Thanks for the memory.
What a fun video! I just added "Cocktails Across America" to my wish list. The hardest puzzle I've ever done was also a Sunsout during lockdown. It was a stampede of mostly brown horses called "Horse of a Different Color".
That was really fun to see. You did a great job then as you do now. Glad you were inspired by the bingo back then to do those on your channel. I too haven't won yet, but still enjoy it.
That was a fun video. The thing I noticed is you talked faster in that video than you do now. I always watch at 1.5 speed and I had to slow it down to catch what you were saying. It's fun to see how your taste has changed.
