"A series of site-specific assemblages placed in unsuspecting places, Leahlani’s work is a memorial to unsung spaces. These highly intricate works are created from ephemeral materials, including flora and fauna, and placed in subtle contrast to the stable and long lasting built environment of their surrounds. They invite the viewer to linger and reconsider the works as they shift and change over time."
