If the immigration officers discard photos, flight itineraries, call logs, etc as proof of relationship then exactly how does one go about proving this requirement? I can think of no other way of proving you have met your partner and are in a genuine subsisting relationship.
Thank you very much for the video. The best one I found on the Internet, even with all the recent changes - mainly about the Financial Requirements - from the Home Office. Thank you, again!
Hi where can i find the video for Relationship requirements as mentioned in the video? p.s this is so helpful thanks a lot. !!!! by far very well-made and informative video.
Hi @RayRay-tq4fy, Thank you for your lovely comment - I'm glad you find the video helpful. Thank you for expressing interest in a separate video that solely focuses on the genuine and subsisting relationship requirement. Whilst this has not yet been filmed, I'll forward your interest to the team. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
First of all, your videos are very good. Second, I would like to know if you can guide me. My boyfriend is British and I am Mexican and we want to get married. I want to know what the first step is to obtain a wife visa and the requirements. I hope you are doing well in advance. Thank you for your time!
Hi @staywell5083, Neither the Immigration Rules nor Home Office guidance states a minimum length of time the applicant must have been in a relationship with the sponsor before applying for a fiancé(e) visa. Rather, the genuine relationship requirement involves the Home Office caseworker making a subjective assessment of whether their relationship is genuine and subsisting. Not only will the Home Office caseworker assess this in light of the application as a whole, but they are also instructed to take into account cultural considerations. As much as I'd like to be able to answer with a simple 2-word answer (for example, "3 months"), this, unfortunately, is not possible in light of how this requirement is assessed. Kind regards, Jason Capper-Tan.
Great video and channel, thank you very much. Can I apply as a fiance/family visa from a country I'm just visiting with a tourist visa or it mandatory to be in the home country? My home country is harder to go and it doesn't have priority service. Also, because I'm still in the UK with a standart visitor visa, can I apply for Skill Life A2 straight away instead to A1 for the first application and second one to A2 in the extension after 2y6months of the visa being granted?
Hi, excellent videos, thank you so much for the videos. I'm in the middle of completion of the application and the section where it requires details of my fiance children who do not live with him but pays child maintenance, there is no option to say or select an option. The option appears to be only what appears to be for the sponsor living with dependants but that is not the case. I've selected no and added a comment in the additional information section and will provide the Annual review from the child maintenance. Would selecting no children, invalidate the application? Would be grateful for any information from your experience. Many thanks A. I.
Hi @BrianDawsonLM10, I am glad that you find our videos helpful. Whilst you can help book the English test, it will be your fiance that will need to sit it. I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
QUESTION: At min.30:16 you are saying that the applicant will NOT be able to legally work in the UK until the first FLR(M) application is granted, so no right to work for 6 or more months?
The fiancee visa doesn't give you the right to work, so yeah, you'll be dependent on your partner until you get married and get the Family visa. It doesn't have to be six months, you could get married and switch visa as soon as possible and get the family visa around 2-3 months after arriving to the UK, and since it takes a long time anyway to get a job in the UK, you could be applying to Jobs in the meantime
Hello Jason(Migrate org uk)....this video has been helpful and erased some fears and doubts....but need to ask if the 28days to apply for the spouse visa extension is inclusive of weekend days or just working days?(week days)
Hello, If fiance has already uploaded all the supporting documents to the VFS website. Do I(the sponsor) still need to post printed copies of the same documents?
Hi @growin2703, Supporting documents only need to be submitted via one of the document submitting procedures. Therefore, if the supporting documents have already been self-uploaded via the VFS website, printed copies of the same documents will not need to be posted to the specified address. I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.

We have submitted all of the stuff we need to the uk gov and now they have asked my partner to book an appointment with a commercial partner but we can’t find it anywhere

It is on the VFS or TLS website that you can book an appointment. If you have not already been redirected to the VFS or TLS website, you should log back into your application. You should click the green button which states "Provide documents and biometrics". I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.

Hi @youssef.e8173, Whilst it is your partner who will technically be making the application, it is commonly the case that the sponsor (the UK partner) completes the application form, helps gathers the required documentation, and self-upload the supporting documents on the applicant's behalf - the online application form caters for this. All the best with the application. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.

I'm glad I came across this video, it's helpful to watch instead of being overwhelmed reading it all. However, the financial part seems to be more complicated than need be.
Very helpful video! We are applying for a fiancé visa and using an immigration lawyer. Because my salary was significantly lower than normal in Feb, I’m having to apply under category B to meet the financial requirement. The lawyers intended date for submission is 31st July. However I noticed in your video it mentioned the latest Payslip should be dated within 28 days of submission. As we are applying on 31st my last Payslip is dated 30th Jun. Does this mean that we would have to delay the application until I receive my July dated Payslip? This on itself is probably possible, but the bank statement backing it up will take longer to sort out. Any info greatly appreciated
Hi @leelee4321, I'm glad to hear that you found the video helpful. A sponsor who is based in the UK when the application is submitted is required to provide a payslip which is dated no earlier than 28 days before the date of application (the date the Home Office fee is paid on the online application) if they rely on Category B. This is because of paragraph 1(l) of Appendix FM-SE which states "Where this Appendix requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating to a period which ends with the date of application, that evidence, or the most recently dated part of it, must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the date of application". Since the word "must" is used in the above Immigration Rule, if this is not complied with, the Home Office caseworker can refuse the application because of this alone. I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
