In this video I hope to open a window into the world of yacht brokerage as my colleague Ed Dickinson and I organised a photo shoot and Open Day on board a beautiful Mangusta 165.
It was a risky strategy, but it worked out very well!
Love this boat just cause its so big and fast. 41 knots for a 165 is crazy ... crazy good !
Cruising at 60kph. Top speed 75kph...
What a rush that would be. I don't think the word exhilarating would be enough to describe it.
Remember she has less HP the the earlier 165E models . Those cruise at 36 kts. 😉
I might not be able to buy one of your boats, David. But your energy and charisma puts my day on a productive trajectory, so that I can at least get a little bit closer. You're the man!
Living in Derbyshire all my life it is nice that you gave us a shout hopefully you have boosted the house prices in Derbyshire
Party on the outside, gentleman's club on the inside. I really like the upgraded external upholstery. Thanks for this relaxed revisit to a fabulous vessel. 👍
Beautiful Super Yacht and fantastic walk-around presentation and cinematic camera angles 👌🏾
Never disappointed with the quality and innovation of the videos. There are some yacht names that are unforgettable, no doubt thanks to you and the whole team. Thanks David. 👍👍
How nice to see you wear an Oceanco jacket! Greetings from Alblasserdam, the Netherlands (home of Oceanco)!
Thanks! I produced a vlog about one of OceAnco’s projects a long time ago and they very kindly sent me a thank you letter along with the jacket 😀
Hi David and Ed. Serenity, A fantastic Mangusta 165. The refit looks good, beautiful cabinetry, new upholstery. A 7 star luxury hotel that flies across the water effortlessly. The style of the yacht looks fast even at anchor. Great walkthrough video tour thanks 😊
Love the honesty at the end. Long time viewer and big fan of your work.
Between you and The Super Yacht Captain you guys are really making want to change my career!! I want to design yachts now... not even own one but just design them. They are so amazing!!
Great presentation, David. And I appreciate your approach to open up the world of brokerage to your audience very much.
Had the privilege to sail a day on our clients 165E in Florida. Always loved the sleek lines of the 165E.. Love that yacht!
i like this guy, seem to be a down to earth genuine type of a guy. I've dealt with yacht broker that are just so pretentious, so fake, suck up, inono fishy type of people, but this guy seem authentic.
Spectacular! Thank you David and Ed, Mangusta is my absolute dream yacht, though Serenity is a little beyond my means. I may have to satisfy myself with a week's charter as a retirement gift to myself.
She's still very impressive... if not the most impressive sporty superyacht in the world. A true marvel of technology...
Is it just my ignorance of boating, or was the Yacht rocking pretty good in what looked like a mild sea state?
You're correct, but there's probably a little more to the story. You can tell by the diminishing wake in those shots that the boat's just come to a stop, and my guess is that she's outfitted with gyro-stabilizers that take up to an hour to fully spin up and work effectively.
It’s rocking like crazy for that size and this should have been addressed by the broker before taking the drone and other shots. Not professional.
My goodness,,,, what a fantastic looking ship. Really nice video,,,would love to see crew area , engines and Galley.
Never mind the Yacht...Nice jacket mate :-)
Jacket at start of video, lol
I do not like the2023 interior! But 2021 with the windows is awesome!
That would be on the top of my list.
Not very stable on a calm sea! It don’t have stabilisation system?
I noticed that too, you could spill your martini!
Expensive club and house on the water... Beautifull Mangusta...
The orange color was good. This is also good. The new owner will bring the bright quality onto the interiors as well?!🔨 Congratulations Ed! Quite useful presentation.
David, did you receive my email? innovateny@hotmail.com
Looks alot better with the new cushins/color.
Great video. Enjoyed it.
The new color scheme looks much better. Good job!
Oh yes, David, she shows 100% better now.
A beautiful yacht 🏄♂️🌴🏖😎
Congrats on the great showing, guys! Hope you get her sold!!!
Quite a nice boat, though I miss David's wordsmith skills being displayed in this one. BTW, 5:51 the symbol for knots is "kn", not "kts" (which would mean "kilotonne-seconds").
I thought the orange cushions gave it some "Pop," personally. The new cushions look good too, though.
Thank you for the twisting corridor effect at 10:45.
Looking snappy my man!
Went from 1975 to 2021 with the change of color on the bow cushions.
I would paint it in a light silver tone. Nice yacht!
It is like a speed boat on steroids. Very nice.
Great video and stunning Yacht 👍
I think that a Mangusta maxbe ideal to start with as a youngster.
Looming very nice.
Great video David
Excellent video and a great yacht.
Amazing..
Mangusta 165 is my dream yacht, come on lottery ticket haha
Don't lie to us, David. Your job is an absolute nightmare. And it leaves you in tears at the end of every day wishing you could just run away and leave it all behind.
Right?
Nice helicopter at the port side
I like this boat very much. I would change some small thing in the salon that i think can be easily done. also can I swamp out the exercise equipment for seating? Is it still for sale? is it still in the Med?
It's a hard life but someone has to do it. 🤣
Is it uncommon for vessels of this size and price range to take over 2 years to sell? I assume that just simply the initial price of the boat plus all the other expenses that go along with it really limits the potential buyer pool, but it seems that I see some big yachs such as this one listed for sale for many months to several years. Do some owners just list thier yachts for whatever price they would sell for even if they didnt really need or want to sell, but if a buyer comes along with a good enough offer the owner will then sell?
Great video and great yacht! Just for reference, how much was it new?
Nice 😊👍
What about the staff quarters? That’s the only place I would be able to stay aboard such a yacht.
The lines of the yacht make it look way smaller than 50m such a sporty design.
David love your videos, that said I liked the orange cushions. What is wrong with that color? (:
How many bales of hay does that bugger eat,?
Walk through carried out with all the enthusiasm of a man waiting for his own execution! Best keep him on the laptop & e mailings.
Exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps he's employed by a rival broker. He needs to watch Aquaholic to see how it's done
Everyone's different when there's a camera on them. I'd rather encourage him to keep it up if he aspires to do more, so that he eventually gains more confidence and familiarity with the work.
Beautiful Yacht. What is the Price? =
Wonder what the range is. Can't be very good. Most Mangusta's get under 1000nm of range with 750 being the average, but this one being bigger, I imagine it getting better range.
great video but if I would buy this yacht I would change the cushions back to orange
Wasn't this beautiful vessel available a few years ago in Qatar for 16 mil ??
Watching the Chauvin trail? I'd want to be aboard the week the jury comes in with their verdict. Very nice walk through.
As an American I do think it a was bit of a gaffe to leave that footage in, but I wonder if this gives an insight into what the rest of the world thinks.
@@savnet_sinn Maybe a gaffe but it seems to me that people all over the world have a much better understanding of what is happening in the U.S. then some Americans. Very few Americans are aware of the happenings in other parts of the world.
@@larrypardi9143 Yes, the willful ignorance of many Americans makes me feel unusually self-conscious about being one when I travel. That said, with regard to the trial, because it's such a serious issue and also a uniquely-American one, I'm wondering how invested the rest of the world is (or was, at this point) in the outcome.
For some reason that I just don't know, this yacht doesn't really float my boat so to speak. It is huge, fast, it looks good, I have no idea why it is not for me.
There is a spammer that fakes the Yachts for sale account in replies under comments. Reported it but thought you should know
Thanks! Can you let me know where you have seen his comments? I’ll also report him.

Sexy boat but needs to be painted in a Matt black paint and then wow
Jesus, that thing heaves around like a dead whale.
Are the stabilizers broken?
Love your videos David...Can you please edit one explaining how Covid affected the yacht industry & generally the yacht market... Cheers from Corfu
Can you do a video on the (all about u2)
Mangusta 130 or Mangusta 165 is my dream yacht
The interior needs a complete refit.
Thank goodness the orange is gone!!! It was hideous.
Very nice boat, dream come true to own one ,but camera spinning around trying to be arty no thanks 🙄
What's the economical range?
First ;)
What is Serenity range in nautical miles.
This is a major question ?
At cruising speed at 30kn ,what is max range
This boat has Saudi written all over it.
ميزة الترجمة للعربي غير مفعله!!
Sorry David, she seems a little cramped for my style. Imma hold out for something in the 200+ range...
All joking aside, lovely yacht. And sincerely appreciate the extra "insight" into what the broker's role is !! Nicely done. On the next tour, definately turn on the stabilizers, as the rolling motion is far too apparent for some strange reason.
This is the Porsche 911 of the sea
The owner change the outside sunbeds and pillows from orange to blue but he forget the change the orange/yellow color walls in cabins ad corridors...
actually, they change the cushions and padding's from Orange to beige with a brown trim that blends the cushion very well with the teak decking and the brown lines that run between the teak, and then they added some blue throw pillows. But, I get what you're saying. Cheers.
@@calvinh.8882 :) !
Spinning the camera while going upstairs or walking the decks wasn't necessary but otherwise a fine video.
Love the interior but it's not my cup of tea.
Only downside is range but its perfect in every other way. Definitely perfect for the Caribbean/Florida area
more yacht info
Furniture exhibition
Its a nice but out of my price range
Is she trans-atlantic capable?
She is just such a sexy lady and you are lucky to have been on a date with her, jealous in a good way
Tell the camera person to stop the 360 twirl, it’s annoying. Good video otherwise, keep it up David
Tell the camera person to do it again on long side decks. It was hilarious.
Gets worse with every refurbishment. 13 years old now … no market for it.
Thanks for the feedback. We sold her a few months ago.
@Wen
That makes No sense at all.
50 meters and rolls like a jetski. Mangustas only for show, and rest is rubbish.
The interior is very Arab. Sure this is why it has not sold... to my mind the interior is awful. Nothing to recommend it ..this one will be a sitter
Right. The reason no one bought something is because you don't like it.
@@savnet_sinn Guess what three years later its not sold !!! Told you!!
David you need to get N&J serious about these sales presentations, whoever was presenting was dessed like he was going to trim his hedgerows in Ripley, not professionally representing a yacht. The complete lack of "sizzle" & very little "steak" appears to show a lack of interest in representing this vessel.
Shame.
Perhaps you should stay in front of the camera David.
