Consistency has always been DLSU's problem.More confidence dlsu and you will go a long way..The whole community believes in you💚🙏
I don't think so. As an Ateneo fan, DLSU is one of the most consistent teams in the league in terms of blocking ans floor defense. They might not be on par with NU in offense but the mental stamina and composure they have during crunch time is nuts.

DLSU and UST can be title contenders if their setters will adjust largely. They have great attackers and defenders, which can match toe-to-toe with NU's, but they seem disconnected as a team due to their respective setters. Setting is key in today's volleyball. Adamson's attackers are not the strongest but they're efficient because of their setter's great playmaking. I hope both teams will adjust, especially DLSU because of the powerful set of attackers they have rn (Canino-Malaluan-Dela Cruz-Soreno-Provido-Gagate-Laput). Sayang if hindi mailalabas potential nila due to having weak setter.

I don't think anyone will beat NU this year. I was there on opening day seating behind Hans Sy looking at NU team up close. They are scary this year.

Agree, ung mga set ni alba medyo easy to read, not to hate but just pure observation, kasi dlsu have lots of powerful player esp w/ canino ( just like in set 3 ata un when tinambakan nila ang ust) but the way alba distribute the ball is somehow misleading, after the set 3 but way better than previous season so good for her may ibubuga pa for sure, and 2 they always rush things, they want to score fast that leads to errors, and more errors when things gets hard, buti na lang mas madami error UST,hehe kasi konti lang yung difference ng attack ng dlsu at ust sa error tlga ngpadamihan which is nung mga crucial moment , but I guess it's normal for the beginning of the season, and 3. The receiving area,(I think dito yung pinakaadvantage ng NU sa dlsu) kasi ka pag wala ng magandang received ung mga spiker ng dlsu nd tlga sila makascore ng ayos unlike nu na nagagawan nila tlga praan, pero I think if ma improve ito ng dlsu kaya na nila NU esp with the talents that they have , need lang ng better set at smooth reception, dlsu can get that crown again, sympre given din na si coach ramil ung mgging coach sa second round, so overall a win is a win pa rin congrats dlsu🥳

Not undermining her contribution during this game, but for me, Jolina still lacks maturity. Mas fierce tsaka mas senior pa galawan ni Canino sa kanya. Also, I want Thea and Leila to step-up ala Majoy and KKD in season 79 na parang last playing year na nila kung maglaro. Isa pa, I hope maging mas coordinated pa sila sa loob like NU para lumaki chance nila sa finals. I'm proud yet hoping na mas kumonek pa sila sa isa't isa. Make me feel comfortable watching you, Lady Spikers! will support you all the way no matter what :)

After UST's win against NU, i gotta watch this game again. How did LaSalle got that 3rd set and UST scoring only 8? Haha. Exciting season this year! No more unbeatable team. Can't wait for the DLSU vs NU game!
It's because of DLSU's strong serves that exploited UST's defense which also made for DLSU's blockers to have an easy job. Not to mention DLSU were able to lessen their errors on that set.
In my opinion, this was one of the strategies of UST earlier; to make a strong serve to rattle NU's receivers which also explains why bantay sarado wingers ng NU kanina. Kasi alam ng sa kanila punta ng bola. This may not be very evident, and may entirely not be true, but again this is just my opinion.

I was there and Alba just kept on scoring from the service line. Additionally, Cruz was consistent in blocking the down the line hits thus making Jazareno's view of the UST'S cut shots clearer. DLSU made superb adjustments after Peñafiel's revelation in the second set. Even with Milena coming into the fourth and fifth sets, UST's error got the best of them.
Honestly, this was a match full of unforced errors, but it's fine to get cold legs in your first match.

UAAP S84 Game Highlights last year were more interesting & engaging since the edits would include about 2-3 slow mo replays of exceptional plays. I've been a fun of UAAP since S74 so kung i kukumpara mo mga performance nila through the year. And what I've observed for the NUxADMU and USTvsDLSE match-up this UAAP S85. I must say that DLSU is the new ADMU, NU is the new DLSU, and ADMU is the new NU. And UST remains UST.
DLSU before was the team to beat but due to their system especially for blocking and serving. And then it was not until Solomon and Belen's era started in S84 it made NU the new team to beat, and ADMU before was a never say die team which leads by the Phenom Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado which allowed them the only team that competes for head to head with DLSU, which makes DLSU as new ADMU also led by Jolina Dela Cruz Angel Canino which I feel that only team that could compete with NU head to head. And ADMU is the new NU because they could not maximize the ace players like Faith Nisperos and Ace Miner due to their system and reception issues which they will/might experience like what Myla Pablo and Jaja Santiago who both did not bring their team to the Finals.

Good game, but not the best one for DLSU. Grabe ung errors and disconnect all throughout the 5 sets. They still need some consistency in order to win the championship this season. The sets were all over the place. Service line errors ate them alive. A few comms issues as well.
But here I am cheering all the way for DLSU!!!! Still proud of co-Lasallians no matter what. 🥰

La salle fan here but they only got lucky. UST now is on a different level of gameplay. So much missed hits from the middle.
Alba’s setting and decision making are still the same. Hopefully she improves as she is the key to get the championship
The plays she gave to her spikers are off. Canino and Dela Cruz sometimes adjusts their spikes by twisting their bodies. During crucial moments, she was easily rattled and cannot make excellent plays for the team to score.
Yeah personally super disappointed with Alba’s plays, and more to the fact that she’s already a senior and has been in that setting position for quite a long time already. Hope they can be more consistent with the play setting because at this performance, kakainin lang sila ng NU ng buhay.
@@b.razote3279 True. The setting was a disappointment. Also, dami nila errors. Could possibly be in the part of the sets given, or spiker decision na rin nag-contribute sa errors. Maybe next time they could give Coronel more playing time para masanay sa dikdikan labanan at Ma-develop yung tibay ng loob. Nakakapanghinayang din kasi yung talent nung bata.

Rewatching this highlight to compare the game between UST and NU, malakas na dito ang UST pero natalo pa din ng DLSU. Lalo na sa 1st set ung tyaga na maghabol at naipanalo pa din ng La Salle. After this game, nag adjust ng malala ang UST at pinaghandaan ang NU at nakuha nila ang panalo in 5 sets which dun maasahan ang UST. Acid test ng DLSU ung laban ng NU vs UST para makita nila kung saan ang achilles heel ng NU, then,, later on ung laban ng UST at AdU naman para makita din ng DLSU ang play ng Adamson.
