Consider tying your tender up tighter so it does not rub the boat or the tender when sailing. Thanks for making a video of the passage as I learned why the Bay is notorious. André in Sydney
Yep especially an inflatable one like that, will wear through in no time. I normally through a line over with protection front and aft to secure. Definitely need some sort of chafe guard where it contacts the dinghy otherwise that line also wears the rubber.
Yes we have had to modify our tender setup a bit and have some extra protection on the davits. Still not perfect and a work in progress. Ideally it should have been something our dealer helped us with and advised.
I can answer this as I had the same size before and yes, definitely. Now have a Mahê 36 which is almost the same size and I would judge it as suitable for full time live aboard. It's always a loaded question as many people make do with much smaller vessels it depends on the level of comfort and features you want. André in Sydney
Certainly we are happy with the Isla. We have plenty of room at the moment but will add some extra items next season like ebikes , sups etc. for a couple seasonally sailing i think its perfect. For full time livaboards depending how much non essentials you have I also think its ok. With lots of watersports toys , diving gear , compressor etc it may be a bit small.
Beautiful. Tough love. Such flat water.

Sun deck, bean bag end of story
Pretty standard seas for the Bay of Biscay
Do you feel the Isla 40 is big enough to live on full time, during the summer.
