@@tinesday May I ask what the GSM of your watercolor pad is?
Cause you are using watercolor. Watercolor as a medium is water-based, which makes works very transparent.
I suggest either using a higher GSM watercolor paper. Like up to 300Gsm or use arches. Or just use Gouache/poster paint. These 2 are very opaque even with just a very little amount of paint.
It gives a more finished and much more professional look than what you have as your finished works.
