i think the story is: 5 sisters are held captive by their father in their basement. We open with the girls setting up a performance, which seems like quite a common thing for them to arrange. On the 13th of November, which is supposedly Yeri's characters' birthday, they celebrate with a makeshift cake and candles, but need to be quiet. They arent quiet enough so the kidnapper shoots the door, which conveniently leaves it unlocked. This is the perfect chance for Wendy's plan - to kill their father. She tells the girls to keep quiet, as she leaves the basement and murders their abuser with a rock to the head - to then which the girls are distraught, trying to help clean it all up. Processing the murder, each girl plays a different role. Irene instantly becomes alike a mother/oldest sister figure, while Yeri returns to the basement and watches tv to drown it out. Joy takes the murder weapon and tries to leave; Seulgi argues with her and tries to get her to stay. Wendy is shaken and traumatised by what she has done. Now free, they get to go off and live their own lives. The shot of the calendar before the cutscene makes me think they agreed to return on the same day in the future. This could also be why Yeri is wearing a veil in the last scene, bc its her "birthday". Cut to the future, they decide to finish what they had started. With duffle bags filled with belongings, they light the house that once kept them captive on fire and plan to run away together. We can recognise that they are somewhat older now by their appearance. However, they are caught. While they look concerned to begin with, they realise that all they really need is each other, and thats all they've ever really had. They put on the same performance they used to do for their father, the one they practiced together in their basement. With full smiles, they know they're being arrested, but find comfort in the bond they have. These probably aren't specific to the members, but rather a portrayal of different people going through tough times, each of the 5 sisters reacted differently Irene's character became motherly and protective Yeri's character returned to where she was trapped and sort of shut it all out Joy's character became paranoid and was acting harshly Seulgi's character was trying to keep them all together, and cried when she fought with Joy Wendy's character sat in defeat From my understanding of the story, Chill Kill's moral is like '"you're going through this really bad thing, but its chill, i've gotchu, because we've shared these same experiences. You may process it differently, but at the end of the day we have each other". I dont wanna go too deep and say this represents the K-idol life, and how they persist through those struggles as a group - but those are definitely the first vibes i got.

Red is their girly, happy, summer vibe (Red Flavor, Queendom, Zimzalabim) while their Velvet is the more mature and darker theme (Peek-A-Boo, Bad Boy, Psycho). But THIS, this one is finally the one where i can see their two concepts merging. This is probably their first Red Velvet song.

One of them (Wendy) was able to get out the basement during their secret Yeri birthday party and kill the father in a accidental way or not, the other sisters discovered what happened and some freak out, and confused, some get sad, some get upset but in the end all seemed happy to be free. A few years later they decided to come back to the family house get some personal precious items and then burn the house. About the cops, i think that somehow they find the recording of the mysterious 5 sisters and started to look for them. When the cops found the girls after the girls burn the house, the sisters was scared and confused so they decided to dance because it was making them happy. That is MY version of the story. Like a lot peoples said that song is very Red velvety as it got that Red Velvet signature sound.

My theory is a evil version of Umbrella academy. This papa here raise Red velvet to use them invade people's dream, maybe killing them. One day, Wendy killed Papa accidentally, and they struggled to free themself from the influence of him. But when they finially got out, the cops came. I think it's an open ending, because Red velvet made a circle. They might use their power to escape, for example, let the cops all fall asleep. Or Red velvet just felt relieve that they finally got caught, because they didn't want to invade people's dream. It's kind of inner growth. If you had done something bad in your childhood or private, you're trapped by it as well. When you put yourself together to deal with it, first, you might try to erase it. But it's not the right way. Face the consequence that you've done is the true relieve. It's just a theory. 😊
