- My sit down with Main Event Jey Uso during WWE's recent UK Tour. Jey talks about what REALLY happened backstage at WrestleMania that impacted his match with brother Jimmy, the Bloodline saga over the last 4 years, how it all started with Roman Reigns and how the lack of live crowds during the pandemic actually helped his performances! Fascinating interview with one the best. Must watch!

The biggest part of improvement is knowing where you went wrong and being honest with yourself. So good for Jay
Yes but it wasn’t his fault 😂 he isn’t the one who books the match

It’s spelt Jet idiot. It literally says it in the title.
It's because the Rock and Solo are the new chef and Roman, jey and Jimmy are going team up again
@@zennydeban6136 pretty sure him and jey have enough creative freedom to tell them they don't want to do a million superkicks
I'm glad the brothers are self aware enough to know the match was disappointing,

Bray vs Orton in Wrestlemania 32 is up there too.
If they maybe threw in a move that wasn’t a super kick maybe it would have added something lol
Glad he's talking about it, long build, short match.
The buildup was great, but if the match was supposed to be only around 10 minutes... 😬
The video package before the match was amazing got me really excited I thought it was going to be the best match of the entire event. By the time all the super kicks started I was disappointed

Jey spearing Jimmy off the ramp night 2 was AMAZING!!
I know they'll redeem themselves more soon! Yeet
That was more memorable moment in terms with Jey and Jimmy at WrestleMania 40.
Lmao the best part of their wrestlemania wasn't their match, how embarrassing for "main event" talent 😂
@@2manyco_oks Geez, ma'am!
Did an Uce cut you off in traffic or something?
You seem gleefully hateful.
Jey admitted it wasn't what they wanted it to be. Imagine getting your dream match and not fulfilling your hope for what it could be?
Probably hurts worst than any of the hate coming his way!
I also said that spear off the ramp was epic!!!Yeet!!!!❤❤❤
“ Right Hand Man “ Jey was fantastic during the pandemic era
My favorite version of him
So good. That dramatic build before sami entered really was great. It's amazing that they managed to take the story to new heights beyond that in the years since
He carried it!
Jey a real dude. you can tell his character is him in real life. Main event, the life of the party, and brother for the world. No hating bones in his body.
“Roman Reigns will always be my Tribal Chief” I felt the authenticity and love when J said that
I personally think the issue with match wasn't it being cut short. But the overly excessive use of Super Kicks, and the back and forth superkick trade off. If they talked more to each other in the match, then it would've worked for the story telling regardless of the cut time. One brother trying to talk sense, the other brother felt betrayed.
That's what happens when you have two guys with a limited move set and wrestle the exact same way. That's okay when you're a tag team but now when you have to wrestle each other. Same thing would happen if the Young Bucks ever had a match.
@@anthonyanderson9303did you just start watching wrestling
@@anthonyanderson9303ehh No the young bucks would absolutely kill it.

This makes me respect Jey so much more, he’s a true professional, but doesn’t shy away from the truth of the match. Can’t wait for him and Jimmy to get to have the match they deserve.

Jey spearing Jimmy off the stage at wrestlemania night 2 was the biggest highlight of the whole build up to their wrestlemania match including their wrestlemania match itself
I actually liked the match but I can definitely understand his disappointment. When you're about to have your dream match and get the notice that your time is cut it has to be brutal.
Agreed I enjoyed the match live but I understand the disappointment of this match
While they had the tag team main event go on for 45 minutes. They could have cut some time off that match and let Jey and Jimmy go on a little longer.
@yomamasofat77 When someone goes over time, someone else loses time. It's just part of the job and you have to roll with it. There's no way they were gonna cut time from the main event, so I don't think expecting that is realistic or would've actually benefited the show as a whole.
@@HumanoidSlayerthey should least got 15 mins tho
The show was advertised to be 5 hours this side and it ended before thar...then we had a 45 minute main event like tf?I'd be bummed too

Me too. I was telling myself this. His fire entrance, his matches, his promos, he's beginning to definitely be a favorite.
Yeet!
Time wasn’t the problem in their match. Both dudes only know two or three moves. Seeing them spam the same crap over and over is lame. This felt like a Young Fucks match

Probably Jey's best interview. Great job, GP!
It is nice to hear that Jey can acknowledge the frustration that it was really just down to time. I don't think anyone is truly blaming Jimmy and Jey. We all know they can put on an absolute banger....no reason why that match should've only been like 15 mins. I hope they get another chance sometime to just tell the story they wanna tell
Rhea and Charlotte had their time cut, but they said fuck it and went for 30 minutes anyway. They didn't get in trouble for it either...
@@Lee-km7qq Just cause someone else does it doesn’t mean you should too, they were just professional about it..and I’m sure indirectly being involved with the Night 1 main event they would’ve had some issues backstage
They could have did a lot more in those 10 minutes than trade punches and super kicks.
@@mykoniichistorychannel they could’ve but also depends what the producer was telling them to do as well 🤷🏽♂️ I did not enjoy that match though, hope they get another chance eventually

Jey saying Roman is his Tribal Chief 🤔 the storytelling is going to be great
I’m glad that wwe is letting wrestlers actually talk more than just ignoring the issue.
This is why Jey wouldn’t work in AEW. He admitted they had a bad match and wants to improve, he didn’t call the fans stupid and say “you just don’t understand it”. He’s an actual star

The problem with The Usos Wrestling each other is that they have the exact same moveset, so we are just getting double the moves.
I think a stipulation match would have helped a lot too
The problem was that they had no time to do a match with a build up. The same move thing doesn’t matter. Look at taker and Kane’s matches.
That COULD'VE played into the storyline, imagine a whole part of the match where they keep dodging each other's move bcs they know what'll happen
@travisspaulding9540 ya a lot of their matches were also stipulation matches so that also helped
"Yo Jey, so whatchu think we should do out there, Uce?" "Well Jimmy, how about we do 50 superkicks each and then I pin you, Uce?" "YEET"

I didn’t dislike the mania match. You could tell the way the match was playing out that it was going to be a piece of the story moving forward more than a “blow off”…i felt like they told a good story..being evenly matched, jimmy taking the low road when given the opportunity and it costing him in the end

The round table comment at the end was actually quite funny
in terms of life. For me this reign

Mannn that’s funny for him to ask “Who is the real tribal chief?” 😂 I love it!
Great interview
It should have been a street fight or falls count anywhere. Same with LA Knight vs AJ Styles.
That was a fun little interview and he's right. Even though the build up to their Mania match wasn't the best, they deserved at least 5 more minutes to put on a show.
he acknowledged roman 👀
TIME ISSUE?? its a LIVE event that is now streamed, Its no longer cable where they have a time deadline, I think the ppvs wrestlemania and summerslam should be the 2 ppvs with 0 time contraints would be 1000x better if every wrestler could plan their match how they wanted according to story line would make everything fresh and 100x better as every match would be amazing
Correct. Everything goes as long as it has to. The match just stunk. Surprised he didn't blame the weather too.
Bro this was a dope interview
So happy for the success Jey is having, really deserves it. Doing the best work ever which luckily for the fans is a statement you can say for most of roster currently. Good luck MAIN EVENT JEY USO YEET!!!

That fuckin return of OG Bloodline of Jimmy, Jey and Roman gonna blow the roof off the place when it first happens lol. I can’t wait for the bloodline civil war II
I'm proud of Jay how he has grown from.tag team legend to making his own name as a singles star. They gotta put some gold on him
Run it back at SummerSlam!!
He’s been my favorite since his debut
Me personally I fw the match, cause knowing the usos moveset it was gonna be exactly what I needed and expect. But being a great “anything”, requires self reflection and honesty, The Main Event Man clearly has that in spades. He’s gonna improve 10x harder if he keeps this up.
One of the highlights of the match for me was the super kicks in the corner, especially that last one he did on jimmy, that looked it could be his signature corner move for when he has the opp in the corner post.
Damn I wish more younger guys would think like this! The wrestling is nothing without the character
@WWEGP The best interview I've ever seen was the one you guys did with lord William regal 🇬🇧 any chance of getting him back on the show for a much needed catch up. I think it would be a wonderful interview
*I really enjoyed the build up and the interviews prior to the match" Jimmy and Jeys acting was oerfection , the match its self was good it was not great , however I put blame on creative and performance coaches ' if jey and Jimmy were given 2 new moves each of their own it would have not been so repetitive wich would have made it so much more thrilling and enjoyable .🤔🤗
Exactly they needed their own stuff.
Their acting carried the match, which is why I enjoyed it, I believe if they have a rematch it'll be great
You're talking like they are rookies. If they want new moves, they don't need to be given them, they should figure out what new moves they want to implement.
Thank you for being humble enough to acknowledge that the match was a bit underwhelming. Respect.
But this doesnt have to be the only wrestlemania match of uso vs uso. There can always be another. For example, yall can have a rematch next year Mania, with storyline focusing on jimmy thinking you got lucky. Maybe a first blood match, to make sure it gets really spicy.
This is why im subscribed
We need that match fr
Just got respect for Jey
I’m glad to know they had more in store for that match but couldn’t give it to us because matches went over time
Jey Uso, Damien Priest and Reah Ripley are my favorite wrestlers in WWE. He's one of the young kings that is going to take the company to another level.
Match was very disappointing unfortunately.
I wish that match was better though but unfortunately it wasn't as good as bret vs owen one
@@prasithoudomvilay8454 Well these two guys aren't Bret and Owen, nowhere close.
That's your opinion
I don't think that match told a story they really got screwed but they not to complain
I doubt Jey will ever see this but I gotta be one of the minority voices that shout out that he has NOTHING to be ashamed of in that Mania match. **** the haters, the emotion was there. That "I am NOT my brother's keeper" video package was one of the best match promo video shots of all goddamn time. And the emotion when he held that kick short as his brother was in the middle of the ring holding his hand up was THERE. I know you want to see banger matches, but it's not always about the moves used, it's about the story you tell and the emotion you evoke. I'll die on the hill that it was a great match and a great moment for two brothers who grew up in the business. Hold your head up Uce.
That was the absolute best video package I've ever seen...jey and Jimmy bring out the best in each other...
And also....well said 👆🏽
The USOS did the best they could with what was given! They deserved better. I feel bad that Jey feels that he let the fans down, it’s not his fault it’s the companies! Im just glad they got their dream match.
Totally agree... especially since without Jimmy and jey there would be no bloodline in the first place but yet they had to take a backseat to the other members...that IS the company's fault...
I feel bad for them. A match they’ve been dreaming about since they probably could eat solid foods, and people judge em for it.
I'm glad we got the clarification. As I was watching it I was like "damn, this should've been a ten-fifteen minute classic but they clearly got the audible to make it quick and get it done fast"
Genuinely, I think we get a grudge rematch where Jimmy goes over before the reunion happens, which is probably soon in all seriousness
As much as that match sucked in the end it don’t matter because they got their Wrestlemania Moment 👏 this is why WWE is King!
I’d like for them to show their actual move set instead of the three moves of doom. Let the talent get creative and mix things up.
Time can be an issue so some set ups have to be cut. I like Jey and Jimmy. Both need a submission hold of some kind and move past the spear and super kicks. Let them grow their move sets into singles sets, let one do a version of the Samoan drop as a signature……. Something different so they can move out of the bloodline shadow.
Edit: Give Jimmy the Thez press as a set up to his splash since he is heal and shows a vicious streak.……. Jey, the Samoan Drop. Give them their own signature move outside of what has been seen in years.
I like watching both of them and they are both really good. Give them the room to shine.
They already both do Samoan drops, but ig they can have Jey use it as more of a signature
And they also have a submission already. Remember the modified half crab (single leg boston crab) they would use to take out ppl’s legs?
Jey Uso is up and coming champ. Crowds LOVE him!
I can't wait to see the storyline leading to a new Civil War. Jimmy and Roman gonna have to make ammends with Jey. Hope they biuld it similarly, but different from when Jey had to prove himself. Also, in that, alot of people might be lining up to get revenge on Roman/Jimmy. Those are gonna be fun storylines to watch for.
Super kick match it definitely was
The biggest problem with the match is it only had 37 moves…. And 36 of them were super kicks.
We DEMAND JAY VS JIMMY 2! Those 2 can bang and we got robbed of it at WM40. Settle that fam business once and for all.
I want Jimmy and Jey back together, but, I think Jey deserves a singles title, YEEEEEEEET!
“Our match time got cut! We only had time for 36 super kicks instead of the 47 we had planned originally”
I'm so jealous you got to meet Jey...lol

A tag match where they were on opposite teams would’ve been great!
That I quit match they had at covid was great acting. I was super involved. another one that caught me was the otis dolph mandy one. they all elevated.
It’s always a time issue when the good match needs to happen
I’ll take credit for it 😂😂😂 imma start using that whenever ppl give me credit for something I didn’t do and the person that did it isn’t there to accept. I’ll take it 😂😂😂😂
I’ve only ever heard Jey and Jimmy yellling on the mic like Meek Mill this is definitely a change 😂😂😂😂
Jey uso is the goat ❤
Hahahahahahaha
No.
Even if they do reunite HHH has to give them another proper match. The Bloodline story has been one of the biggest in wrestling history so the match should've been given the time it needed and they could've cut time somewhere else
Fascinating to hear Fiend v Reigns was discussed for the 1st feud
This was probably the greatest 10 minute interview I've ever seen! Good stuff!
As tag wrestlers who have never had a big singles blowoff match especially on a stage like wrestlemania, I thought their match producers let them down. Big time. They don’t know how to structure and time and build a match like that.
That's awesome
Jey is my favorite one YEET ♥️❤️💯
Respect
The main issue is just how they work. They are a symmetrical tag team. And their match was just symmetrical. It can work in moments, but having a match consisting of mostly Superkicks isn't interesting. Doing trading blows with constant superkicks. And Jey didn't do anything new to show that he can do stuff differently. No moves he hasn't used before or anything. Their moveset is limited. Very limited. If you want a match like this to work, you need a stipulation. If they did a regular trading blows then broken out into doing Superkicks at the same time then went into a double clothesline takedown, that would have been a bit more impactful and demostrates that they're on the same level. I don't think that they did anything to demonstrate their familiarity with each other. Just Superkicks.
Cuz they didn’t have time. If they had more time maybe all of this could’ve been planned from the beginning
@@eveortiz2119 Even with a short amount of time, I don't think "let's just Superkick" would have been the best idea to just go with.
