I am a white man who listened to every single word Joey delivered. No, I cannot relate to what he or any person of color goes through, but I do not appreciate the fact that I am automatically involved with my race's wrongdoings. I do not support white elitists, white supremacists, racism in the police force; white people have done and still do disgusting things. With that being said, anyone can listen to whatever the fuck they want. This is music with a LARGE message that everyone commenting negatively clearly didn't hear. I am fully behind Joey's message and so should everyone else in order for progress to happen. Those of you who suggest otherwise can get off this channel. Do not be a part of the problem.
Tabby honestly this bullshit where some races can't be racist. Like bitch that isn't equality everyone has the option of being racist. Everyone also has the option of listening to whatever the fuck they want, and believing whatever the fuck they want.
Yeah anybody can do anything ever but why are you arguing in the case of that? Just because you have a choice doesn't make it a good one. Also bringing up equality for racists is incredibly ironic. Racists aren't discriminated against, they're the ones separating themselves from equality in the first place. I never said people can't be racist, they just shouldn't. It serves no point.
Genuinely fucking love your reviews/reactions, you can tell you have such a love for music and are also really intelligent when it comes to breaking it all down. Great to a see a true fan of good music, Much love man.
will v tpabf was good, but i liked how joey presented as we need to get together, and how hes trying to do something, and k dot was just telling people the problems in the world
Jaeden Harvey To Pimp a Butterfly's whole deal was that there were no right answers to solve societies problems. He identifies all the issues with race and the rap industry and self worth, and he resolves many of them personally. However, he is not big enough to make everyone else see the way he does and fix the worlds problems. His preaching and pleading in the album version of "I" fall of the deaf ears of a crowd who are busy fighting amongst eachother. This album here makes racism in america essentially its center point. Most of the cuts on her involve the themes of racism and unrest im america. So it is much more focused on this one angle then tpab ever settled for. They are both amazing albums. Personally tpab is probably my all time favorite album, so im a little biased. I just recently gave this album a listen and i fuck with it a lot. Great album, and im glad kendrick didnt drop on the same day. Joey had his chance to shine with this album, and he earned it.
im glad you pointed out how well mixed it is thats what gets me the most. everything about the beats and the vocals makes you listen. the deep vocal behind the rockabye hook is so capturing. i love your channel and your opinions on everything. keep doing u tabby and also im excited for your own music as well
I'm from a small town where not many people appreciate this kind of music. Your Channel is a great way to get hyped with someone else who appreciates rap
I knew of the other songs but I purposely didn't listen, I only listened to devastated since it came out so long ago and I didn't know it was gonna be on the album
I seriously can't believe you're getting hate just for being white and reacting to this like wtf people grow up just cause some people do a wrong don't mean everyone is involved
Your reactions kill me every time i flipping love it! In Amerikkkan idol you looked so made just shows that the message of the album and the bars hits you which people should appreciate.... And Im from SA...
Rockabye Baby goes on... *wrist over the steering wheel* LMAO that track goes hard. freaking love how youre jus jamming in your car going nuts. especially during Ring The Alarm
Tabby dont you ever stop making videos but must important never stop being who you are!! Stay cool and Keep it real. A big fucking hug From Uruguay (SouthAmerica)
Track 7 (Rockabye Baby) and track 8 (Ring the Alarm) is like the greatest one-two back to back knockout punch I've ever heard on a Hip-Hop album. Back to back heaters and missiles firing away the entire time until the beginning to end. It's fucking intense from the lyrics and the production is out of this world.
After 3 mins of watching this....he's thee most entertaining review I've ever seen! I'm subscribing right......now this man is hilarious!!! Y am I just finding out about him lol is this narduar's son?!
Mad beats on this album ! An incredible really historical album by Joey badass. His reaction to "why dont you love me?" Was me the whole album but mostly to that track and Babylon nd ring the alarm these tracks had me going and going and still going. He for the ppl we gotta stand up for one another nd not let men in suits split us up
TBH I thought the songs were almost all very solid, but to hear an album where 11/12 of the songs have very similar subject matter gets repetitive and hard to listen to. Most of the songs for me sort of blend together because their message is so repetitive. Even though his message is a very big and important one, I felt that I was being beat over the head with song after song about the same topic. I just wish he didn't devote an entire album to one subject but that's just because I like the diversity he brings so much, sonically and subject matter. Thanks for listening to my opinion ✌🏼
I can understand that. What I love about Joey is that with every new listen earns a new bar I hadn't noticed before. B4.DA.$$ was a lot more aggressive than this one in multiple categories. ALL-AMERIKKKAN still shows that delivery but focused on one issue.
