Irish Catholic born. irish Catholic bred. Orthodox by choice. Orthodox on purpose. Patriach Irenaeus of Serbia was pivotal in my conversion. Patriarch Kyrill and the ROC made a very public testament towards the Irish Saints. I was deeply moved. I feel that if the Orthodox made greater overtures to their Catholic cousins, more conversions would take place. Becoming Orthodox was the best decision I ever made. I wish I did it nearly 10 years ago. Christo Anesti
@@johnmcadam7493 I have a lot of respect for the Irish people. You too have suffered a lot throughout history. I enjoy very much your folk music! Have you ever heard of the serbian irish-folk-rock band "Orthodox Celts"? Really interesting combination :) And yes, historically Orthodoxy (it means correct dogma in greek) is THE BIBLICAL CHURCH. The word "orthodoxy" is first mentioned by st. Clement of Alexandria in his book "Stromata I", late 2nd century. I'm glad you found it! Unlike me, I was just lucky to be born in the Orthodox nation. You're right, we are too lazy to introduce Orthodoxy to the World, we should do much more. But, you should know: there are some liberal ecumenist people in the Church who are trying to unite with the RC and other protestant groups. They are the real threat for the Church. But they will never succeed.
Sometimes when all feels so overwhelming and dark, we get a cheering moment with dolphins leading us through crystal water and to sainted isles. Blessings on us all. Amen 🙏
I love you, Father Seraphim! Your videos are so human and give one so much spiritual comfort, although I´m not even orthodox. Thank you for everything! Greets from Hamburg, Germany
We in Melbourne Australia are in isolation and your updates as much as they make me cry are a source of hope and l can't wait to visit and join a pilgrimage with you all.. God bless you Grandfather Seraphim... Amen Amen Amen
Hello Fr. Seraphim! I came across your channel by accident or more surely was brought to it by our Father who has and is always looking out for me. I praise Him for that+++ I must say in a humble way, your talks have affected me greatly in a spiritual way. As a result, I have adopted you as my spiritual Father and thank you for helping to save my soul! You will be in my prayers and rememberances always, until we hopefully meet in the life to come. May the Lord God the Father bless you and the nuns and Monastery and your work always in Jesus name. Your 74 year old son, Fr. James Mondok, Willoughby, Ohio USA
The Ocean is Gods blessing to His ppl. The day my dad was buried on the prairies , no water close , a big fog rolled in at the time of his burial. He came from Cape Breton Island and I believe it was a sign of God taking Him home. Thank you for this as it explains a lot! Enjoyed it!
Father seraphin. . thank you so much for your time and consideration.that.is.amazing.the.vidios.wanderful.beatiful.so.greatful.for.all.you.do.for.us.god.bless.
Thank you for making this video. I have missed two weeks of work almost for being sick with COVID or the flu and I was feeling low. Watching this brought me joy to this weary soul. Thank you.
Look at that geology!! 🙌 Wow! I need to do more research on that island! And the dolphins! Thank you so much, Father, for sharing this beautiful day with us! I have added the monastery and this pilgrimage to the island to my list of post-COVID travels to save for! 🙏 May God bless and keep all of you! ♥️
Thank you for sharing your pilgrimage. I have wanted to visit these sites for over 35 years. Please God I can make a pilgrimage to the place of my ancestors.
Don’t despair! I went by myself when I turned 70! I had a great grandmother Christine MacLean (of the Duart Castle MacLeans of Mull). I know the name of the ship my family sailed on when they left Mull. They had to leave because they were Catholic, and went to Nova Scotia. From there...on to San Francisco in 1902 with Scots traditions intact. I believe my forefathers long ago were Orthodox and now, we are Orthodox again. If you can go on Pilgrimage, go! It filled a longing in my heart.
@@bonniejohnstone Wow. I'm still in the process of understanding what the name of my Scottish/Irish ancestor is. He was sent to the Colonies in America for "indentured servitude", on a prisoner ship. We think that his name was changed when he got here. I was wondering if he would have been aware of St. Kenneth back in the early 1600's. He was shipped from Aberdeen, Scotland, as p.o.w. of Oliver Cromwell. God bless your family and thank you for telling us about your experience. Thank you Father Serafim for appearing on the internet with your videos, to talk to us. Sincerely in Jesus Christ.
@Mull Monastery Thank you so much for sharing, The boat trip and seeing nature and the wide open blue sky was what I needed to continue on while the current Lockdown continues for me, s I can o be safe and not get sicker. It was wonderful to see that nature is still green and blooming with live. Please pray for me in my time of chronic illness and our present dangers. May God bless you and all that are there with you. With Love, John James
Thank you so much for sharing this and increasing our knowledge of St. Kenneth, Celtic saints and how Inch Kenneth was utilized. This was very enlightening! 🙏💕☦️🕊
Beautiful video Fr. I live in County Kilkenny which translates as the chapel or single cell church of Kenneth. Some villages are called Kill but it's really Cill from the lrish. Cainneach or Coinneach is the Gaelic word and Canice is the anglicised word. The cathedral of St. Canice in Kilkenny is Protestant but l think it was originally Catholic because the bishops stone seat or cathedra is there. There is an invisible diaganol line or perfect ley-line across Europe called St. Michael's sword , which connects apparition sites of St. Michael and monasteries dedicated to him. Skelling Mhichil in the Atlantic, St. Michael's Mount Cornwall, Mont Sant Michel Normandy, Sacra Di San Michele ltaly, Mont Sant Angelo ltaly, Taxiarchis monastery Greece and Stella Maris monastery Mount Carmel Israel.St.Michael is reputed to have appeared to St. Patrick on the Skelling. An aerial view makes the rock look like wings.
Thank you for this beautiful respite. I grew up 1 mile from the Atlantic Ocean and learned much from what the ocean taught me. I miss it but now live in mountain areas. God bless YOU! Father Seraphim. Peace
so very beautiful, thankyou, love that you prayed for the dolphins and birds,I had a dream two dolphins came on land for a day,to teach us,they are so joyful and pure.
Thank you Fr. Serifim! When I was there on a Mull Monastery Pilgrimage, the sea was too windy (gale force winds) to sail to Inch Kenneth. What a special day you had! Thank you for this beautiful tour!
Very very beautiful video and beautiful place, Father. These type of videos gives us so much peace, I am so very fed up with this city life. May our heavenly Father and Lord Jesus bless you more and more, Father.
Thank you so much for a beautiful video! Your videos, encouragement and love are so helpful during this difficult time. God bless you Father Seraphim and all the work you do.
Photosynthesis was my transubstantation when I left the church. I clung to the growth patterns I found in the woods. I think nature was reflecting the life of Christ before he walked the earth. If people would just visit the nature around them they would want to save it.
God bless you Father. I give thanks to God for seeing your beautiful UA-cam video. I believe St. Columba was also at Lough Derg in Ireland, a most memorable pilgrimage for me. 🙏🙏🙏
You have made me so happy with everything in this video. Thank you. Perhaps you will like these thoughts: "God created 'man' in His own image, male and female created he them" "God put man in the garden to tend it." I know we learn that our most important purpose it to worship God, but, the way I interpret those two Bible quotes is that worshiping God is to empower us to do what we were created for - tending the garden, taking care of all the plants and animals, the soils, and the earth itself to worship and love the Creator. Just a thought I like and wanted to share
thank you fr. for the videos they really uplift my spirit and im in my journey of repentance. I keep you in prayer and please keep me David Scott Griffin in you'res
Alfred Lord Tennyson - 1809-1892 Sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar when I put out to sea. But such a tide as moving seems asleep , too full for sea and foam, when that which drew from out the boundless deep turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, and after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell when I embark; for though from out our bourne from time and place the flood may bear me far, I hope to meet my Pilot face to face when I have crossed the bar.

Mull Monastery is very high, maybe at the top, of the list of places my wife and I want to visit one day. Thank you Father Seraphim!

watching this filled me with joy and smiles. bless you beautiful people and thanks for sharing your day with us.
By our Lord God's will, may St Kenneth watch over your good self and us all. From an unworthy Greek Orthodox brother in Christ.

I wonder if St. Brendan in his coracle followed the dolphins aimlessly a-roving over the deep.

Is it okay that I watch your videos even though I'm Catholic?
what filming equipment do u have?

Probably not legal to eat in Scotland, but puffins are delicious! Ate some in Iceland - it's legal there.
Wow. Beautiful birds. Wouldn't even occur to me to eat them.😲
I think they’re also a specialty on Faroe islands :)
