It was NIGO's fault too.. I love the guy but he's too ambitious.. BAPE was in the verge of bankruptcy because of his ambition to make it really Big and first of its kind.. He spends alot and opened Baby Milo, Bapecuts, BAPY(for women) when they are really struggling financially and at that time BAPE brand is slowly dying.. In Japan, it's either you file for Bankruptcy and BAPE is gone forever or you have to sell it to a bigger company.

My point exactly 💯 They purposely made their clothing too high priced so the availability to the average consumer is either extremely limited or non existent. All of these high fashion streetwear brands basically shut out the poor with pricing then once the company gets sold like Bape did it's instantly not cool anymore? says who? not the person who's loyal to the brand spending their hard earned money on it. it's like these companies spend thousands if not millions of dollars on creating brand awareness then all of a sudden drop the brand and sell out. It was dope for its time. Im not saying you should be completely decked out in Bape 24/7, but you should be able to still rock the brands you want without being ridiculed over it. Celebrity cosigns are whats over in fashion, not the fashion itself.

I currently live in Japan and some Bape stores are busy others not so much. I like the quality and artwork. Some of their gear is too much for my liking. I see some Cali influence with current Japanese clothing/style trend(LA style/influence) from cholo attire and style to hip hop.
