PS - I'm just about to add 2 filets to my new build and was going to go with soft triangular stock, bent as much as allowable, then sliced, carved, etc, then filled at the gaps caused by the (leading edge) slicing. So..... I just put those balsa triangles away and am trying it your way for the 1st time! Why not? This is what our hobby is about. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Just curious about the initial consistency - you don't want it to run. Now, will adding the hardener cause the mixture to run any easier as it heats up toward the cure? Should I maybe make it a little bit thicker than you did for that reason?
I got Cox planes every Christmas and Birthdays from my family, Aunts and Uncles. I usually took the engines out and made thether cars or balsa planes. Face it, the Cox planes didn't fly very well.
@@franklynecox4784 I only got one cox engine plane for Christmas. It was a purple 540 extra with an .049 engine.Beautiful looking plane. My dads friend" who was going to fly it and teach me", smashed it against our fence. I was heart broken as a kid because we didn't have much money. I still have a thing for the Extra body styles.
