@@michaelbeale559 i think its because it goes in the armor at a perfect angle of 2 degrees aka the armor thickness is 1500mm of armor and the shell vanished because of it
The red reload circle mean the shell didn't fire on the server side, so you don't have to reload again. Just ignore the reload and shoot the target and the shell will fire and then the real reload would start.

Same. Also overpressure just doesn't work. A freaking ZSU-57-2 can get killed by being shot in tip of tracks (cause logic), but you can't kill a freaking R3 or Wiesel with a 100/122/152mm shell that weighs more than it.
pro tip, if you see bombs coming your way and you know you cant outrun them just press esc and leave vehicle really fast so you still die but they don't get a kill for it
R3s are still absolutely broken, years later. And Gaijin put them in the Sim event where they can club T34s and Shermans... I exploited the FA HS for events, it's so stupidly hard to kill. Once I got a faceful of Soviet 85mm APHE with 160g of TNT at point blank from front, only killed my gunner and something unimportant. Replaced the gunner and promptly killed the attacker (SU85). Finished game with 2 caps and 7 tanks kills which was pretty much the norm, even on White Rock Fortress with it's mud.

Welp, at least the game registered the hit. One time i was in obj 120 and spotted an AMX-13. I shot it with HEATFS (which should've deleted that little bugger) and then i see that nothing happened. Obviously, i got killed by the AMX-13 because he saw me. But something didn't sit right with me, i've played this game for years and i was confident that the shell should've hit. So i looked at the replay in slow-mo with the camera following the shell. And, what a surprise, the shell phased right through him without registering the hit. At that point i didn't know about ghost shells. I looked in disbelief. I thought for a sec that i was imagining things. But when i watched the replay again, seeing my shell just go through him without doing anything... i accepted the truth. You have no idea the anger and confusion i experienced when that happened. I was like "wtf, he wasn't that far from me and i'm sure i should've hit, i saw the shell hitting him." There were times when i thought i hit, but watching the replay, i missed by a pixel (literally, the shell went right next to him). In those situations, it's my fault for not aiming properly. But when the game does this, you can't feel anything but frustration.
