There is a lot of truth here, and it's of a kind most practical to consider most of the time. We need more thoughts like this in society. However, this take on it is both slightly overstated and religiously biased. Anyone saying that random chance is never even a factor has gone too far. And life is not a pure matrix of justice ordained by God and run by mankind. Nah, much of someone's character dictates how random events affect them - mere pebbles on the road or insurmountable walls, but random chance is clearly a factor sometimes.
