I will never get over how beautiful this Goodbye Horses rendition is at the end of the mix. I grew up to that song and it pulls on my heart so much. It's beautiful.
These tracks would've hit the top 40 back in the 80's, yet they're new. This is crazy. It's like 80's music from a parallel universe. And these mixes are all over UA-cam. As an 80's kid, I can tell you things were so much easier and simpler back then. I really think the 80's were as close as we ever got to perfection as a society. It was the most free we've ever been, no one cared about race, gender, or politics. Just burgers, movies every Friday night, music, MTV, and 8-bit Nintendo games.
What went wrong were people who were too dissatisfied with near 90% perfection, and wanted 100%. So they threw away that 90% trying to get the last 10%. They invented problems we never knew we had and forced us to accept it. They forced us to love strangers making love worthless. They forced us to hate things that don't deserve hate and used to be things we were proud of. They made self-pity the new religion when we used to just play and chill. Now you're a worthless loser if you're not on some self-improvement bandwagon. We didn't need to be improved back then. We were fine, we were ok. Now we're wallowing in some sort of Everything's-shit-ism when it's actually better than it was before. So what really went wrong, were peoples' attitudes.

I find them a bit rough myself but from personal experience I know blending tracks is very difficult. In particular at the 28 minute mark I'd call that a crash transition. I think he's done a fine job with track selection and I doubt I could do better. Without access to his track library I wouldn't know if he's got a better tune to match or even an interim piece to bridge the two. Cheers.
Completely agree. They should have added at least half a minute of drums and chord progression to about half of these to really make it work. Key changes are crap on many of them.
