I think Mactan airport is far better than NAIA. Of course NAIA has more passenger volume and older.
Welcome to Cebu,good thing you finally made your way out here! Yeah, this airport is been like this since the outbreak of COVID but probably not to the extent it is now, as many vendors are making their way to the airport and filling all the rented slots. It was empty during the pandemic like everywhere. Make sure to grab some Lechon in Talisay or Liloan in the weekends they are fresh. GL!
Anzani restaurant in Cebu city is also a very good Italian-owned restaurant. It's near Marco Polo Hotel.

Hopefully, the new international airport in Bulacan will be done as planned. This will be a game changer for the metro Manila area and hopefully it will decongest the Manila airport.

The multi-awarded and internationally renowned, privately operated Cebu Airport, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the only World-class airport in the Philippines and one of the best in Asia. The terminal 1 (T1) is designated only for domestic flights and terminal 2 (T2) for international flights only.
The Construction of a new terminal 2 at the airport began in June 2015. Designated as Terminal 2, the facility was opened to passengers in July 2018. The new terminal increased the airport's capacity from 4.5 million to 12.5 million travellers.
On February 15th 2023, Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) was named the "Best Airport" in the Asia-Pacific region in the "Under 5 million Passengers Category" at the Routes Asia Award 2023 held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
And on February 2019, MCIA Terminal 2 won the "Completed Buildings-Transport Category" at the World Architecture Festival. MCIA claimed fame when it defeated Singapore’s Jewel Changi, touted as the “best airport in the world,” at the World Architecture Festival 2019 held in Amsterdam.
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the second largest airport in the Philippines. It serves more than 12 million foreign and local passengers yearly, making it the second busiest airline hub in the country.
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport has been operated and funded by a private corporation, the GMR Megawide, since 2014, and in September 2022, the Cebu-based Aboitiz InfraCapital purchased a 33.33% stake on GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation. Aboitiz will completely take full control of the operations of the airport by 2024.
